@EW926 In fact, as I think about it. I can punish both D3+4(times 3) with a hopkick and the end string with 2 also with a hopkick. That makes it better so I don't waste time thinking how to react to both. Cause he can choose to finish it or not but I will be ready to hopkick him then.
@1stInFight I can say I've been learning him for about 1 month and a half. I currently reached 1st dan with him and I have a couple of more matches under the belt with him. I usually practice most of his situational combos offline to ensure what I can do when I get into certain situations. I have to work on his WS2,2 combo too.
Shitty ali kick spammy Kings make me laugh. So these are a lot older rank matches then? WS2,2 isn't really all that great so use it sparingly at best. It misses a lot of things and the only real use of it is ducking a high ender. You'll find out that things like Christie's sweep juggle starter and Law's dragon tail on block will whiff unlike most FC launchers so you have to improvise. I usually use FC d/f+4 or dash for a hopkick or punish with something like d/f+3,2.
@1stInFight True, I was thinking of dashing forward a bit then hopkicking that would be applied for the ali kicks when they don't finish the string but if they do I would punish it with DF2,1 for a free launcher.
If they do finish with uppercut, don't use d/f2,1. Just block and hopkick. For King, you don't need to dash in for the uppercut finisher as it is exactly 15 frames on block. I know they say d/f2,1 is 15 frames, but I swear it is 16. I can tell you from personal experience that d/f2,1 seems to get blockeded from the uppercut, but maybe I'm just a little slow. Only use d/f2,1 for a whiff punisher. It is launch punishable on block by a lot of characters while the hopkick is -12.
I'd work on his wall carry too. Easy wall carry are d/f4,1,1 (delay), SAV 1,2,1, SAV 1,4 or SAV 3_3 after going into it from d/f+4,1 or d/f+1. His easiest ws2,2 combo IMO is d/f+1, d/f+4,1, bound / wall carry, but there are many options. The other thing is for a post bound against the wall use d/f+1, d/f+1, to sav 3, d/b3_4 or d+1, ws+4. You can also use d/f+1, SAV 2, but that can whiff. d/f+4,1,1 will whiff on a certain # of hits / characters so opt for something else.
@1stInFight Actually, yea I have been working on some wall carry setups. You'll see some different stuff in my recent vids but I will still need to get use to doing them more depending on the setup.
The easiest way to wall carry with him is always SAV into 1,2,1 because you can drop the 2 or 1 depending on how close you are to the wall. You just don't get max damage if you do it that way unless you complete the full 1,2,1 I personally used SAV 1,2,1 almost exclusively for the longest time until I felt comfortable with his other stuff and just chopped off parts of it. It's a great way to get the basic wall carry with him down.
@1stInFight Yea, I use SAV 1,2,1 more than anything else but the one time I used it. It missed hitting the wall since it depends on where I launch them. But I use that often.
@TheJsaKim Yup, a lot of players are like this player. They don't know what to do when a good player shuts down all their cheap options so they still keep trying and can't think of any other way to win. It's crazy cause I'm no where near his rank, I don't even play a lot and I still manage to easily take him out.
yea, you can actually launch punish kings d3+4 if he ends the string with a 2. I'm taking on some new characters myself (check out on my channel).

@LoneEclipse Yea, I think it's getting a lot more easier to win against these types of opponents.

@NeoUnknown
I forgot about this since I don't use it that much, but actually the easiest is something like this
uf+4, d/f+1, sav d/f+1, d/f4,1, and then another d/f4,1,1. That is easy as cake.
1stInFight 1 month ago
@1stInFight Oh, I never even thought of that too but I will see how far the carry goes before deciding to using it at certain points.
NeoUnknown 1 month ago
@NeoUnknown
The wall carry is slightly less than sav 1,2,1, but not by much. d/f4,1,1 does do a little less damage, but not by much.

OMG!...He kept resorting to that stagger kick, when it clearly wasn't working. Way to stick it to that guy...lol

@whokilledkennendys Apparently a lot of bad King players never have any options except to spam stagger kick or multi-throws.
