@ericoschmitt Yes. Louis-Alexander (here aged 12) is now 15 years old. He is not singing in public for the moment to allow his new adult voice to settle. It looks as though he will have a fine tenor voice but will not be allowed to sing in public until at least his 18th birthday to avoid any longterm risk to his vocal chords. He wants to be an opera singer but meanwhile is spending time on on musical studies, the lute, the piano and dance.

@mustmusique isnt it possible to keep practicing high notes and maintain the high portion of the vocal range, and just add low notes?

some time ago i saw a video of a japanese guy who could sing 6 octaves or something around that.. well, he wanst very much in tune but he had a huge range..

and im not a singer, but i can make a Eb6, 2 tones below the highest note in queen of night aria (is that a G?), and i am 20..

anyway i wish him good luck in whatever he does, sing, play or dance

@mustmusique Does this mean that no singing videos of Louis-Alexander will be uploaded till he's 18 (=2013) ? As he was used to do quite a lot of public performances, it must be tough for him not to be allowed/able to sing in public now, or is he ok with it ? That's probably the reason why Andrew Johnston (BGT) doesn't upload videos neither.

I'm very curious to hear his "new" voice.
