Can anyone tell me who composed this arrangement? A lot of the versions of Carol of the Bells that I've played are pretty if you're listening but not particularly invigorating to play. This actually looks like a fun piece to play and I'd like to suggest it to my choir, if only I knew which it was!
Well done. I watched several other videos on youtube of this piece and this is easily the best I've seen. You can tell when people actually practice it.
Congrats to a hand bell choir with the guts to perform this song, as it is written, in 6/8 time. Only one I've found on YouTube that isn't painfully too slow!
i did enjoy this arrangement. the arrangement my handbell choir practised was meant for around 20 bells. i didn't like it. but this one was pretty good. sounds like they actually PRACTISED, unlike SOME other handbells choirs i know of. i'm not going to say any names, Canticle Ringer of First United Methodist Church Lake Charles. oops...did i just let that slip? lolz.
duuuude my handbell choir practiced this somg and we were supposed to play this last christmas but no one showed up at the rehearsals except me and another woman. that really pissed me off, because my friend and i'd worked really hard on that song (and I was the one that suggested it, which pissed me off even more!!!)then claire comes decides to come to rehearsal two days before the performance after missing them all. i didnt show up that sunday. i wasnt about to perform&fuck up.nice work here!
I think a large part of this is either the lack of damping in the beginning or the recording. The beginning just sounds sloppy. But otherwise, nice job.
I think it's played too fast. It might be the recording quality, but you barely hear the melody this way. I know most american arrangements only work if you play them really fast, but here.. I don't know. It just sounds rushed.
I completely agree with you awengro who by the way has an amazing name. Throwing my face into a wall of nails sounds much better then listening to this. As a matter of fact i'll help you throw your head into them if you help me with mine
great job but a recomendation in the future i sujest giving one beat measures so that you don't look like your'e randomly directing but good job any way
check out the kyrene middle school carol of the bells hand bells choir, we're pretty great for 13 year olds

@0Samaire0 Like bulletdr said, this is the way the original was written, in a 6/8 time.

a choir of handbells.
No seriously. It'd make more sense if you knew what a handbell was. Look it up, they're awesome. :D
