  • Outer Banks Is on the East Coast of North Carolina. Look on a map and right below the virginia coast you'll see a string of islands that runs along the entire coast of North Carolina. That's the Outer Banks.

  • We were using 80lb braid.This is a good choice for this type of tuna fishing ,since there is no idea of what might actually strike a Butterfly Jig.You don't want to loose a fish of a lifetime,because the line was to light

  • Last year I was fishing on the Oregon Inlet bridge and I hooked into something that had some teeth cause when i pulled my line out of the water, my leader was frayed up a little bit and all my friends thought it might of been a shark. Of course i did not get that fish in to shore cause my hook was not strong enough and it broke. I'll be coming back down there in May and I'm going to give it another shot at getting some big fish. Yeah, I wish I could catch a tuna down there but who knows...

  • I was out with Capt. Scott on the big tahuna a few years back on Easter Sunday & we limited out on yellowfin by noon. One of the best charters I ever had.

    Had a chance to meet Rob last year @ the rally to save our beaches, great guy, and thanks for all your work for free & open beaches.
