  • F@CK.....! WHO ELSE THINKS ALL THE BONUS TRACKS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AS NORMAL SONGS AND NOT AS BONUS....!? THIS ALBUM WOULD HAVE BEEN TRULY BETTER WITH THE THREE SONGS INCLUDED NORMALLY!!! F@CK....!

  • actually the songs elegantly broken and into the blue by caines offering are quite good

  • Why the hell is this song only a bonus ? It has the best solo of the album Oo

  • me encanta is awesome

  • After listening to SA since the very beginning I can now say..everything about them, past, present and future fking rocks full stop. Legends in their own right, rock on. \m/ O_o \m/

  • proves henrik can write songs to! yes he did this one. both sonata and stratovarius are great, jani is great, elias is great, its all epic, so just love the music and make love not war xD who cares for the reason jani left. It´s his choice. Sonata´s still great so don´t fight over that

  • Jani left because he didn't like the new direction so shut the fuck up. That's why he went out, and formed his band Cin's Offering which sucks in my opinion.

This song is excellent, but first four albums are excellent. Unia and this one are just very good.

  • @WishmasterTheDark That's not why Jani left. Sonata Arctica is awesome in every album and it's nice they have different kind of music. Tony said the next album is going to be different again. More "hitting" songs he said, easier for listeners.

Jani is quite good composer too but nothing compared to Tony. Cain' Offering is OK but I think Jani is the best guitarrist of all time, not the best composer.

  • @WishmasterTheDark New sonata arctica fans are so retarded . I miss the old days :,(

Cain Offering was straight up Finland power metal masterpiece and you faggots can't like it because it was Jani band ? please .

  • @ChiloteFlaite Because instead of his inhuman guitar skills to show, he put keyboard solos, and brought annoying pop singer Kotipelto, and wrote kid-like lyrics. That's not Power Metal band after all. Some kind of melodic Heavy Metal, or something like that. Cain's Offering's heaviness is questionable too. Distortion could have been stronger.

I never said I prefer new Sonata Arctica over old one.

  • @WishmasterTheDark Lol kid what are you talking about ? Kotipelto a Pop Singer? Have you ever heard of STRATOVARIUS the most successful PM band from Finland ?

And since when Jani put keyboards ? He doesn't play keyboards kiddo. He's a composer, but you wouldn't understand. He doesn't need fancy solos to make good songs. But what do i care ? You talk about "heaviness" what the fuck. My cock in your mother asshole is heavyness .

Take that fag. You don't know anything.

  • @ChiloteFlaite

Stratovarius is not a Power Metal band, it is Symphonic/Neoclassical Metal, not Power Metal at all. You obviously don't know what Power Metal is, 'cause you think everything with keyboards and melodic shit is Power Metal.

Timo Kotipelto is fucking horrible typical pop sounding singer. Fuck off pussy.

  • @WishmasterTheDark Then why are you on a SONATA ARCTICA video dude ?

Way to go typing shit on youtube ... And get over it. Melodic Power Metal is the subgenre you're talking about.

If you're so true then go masturbate to Jag Panzer

  • @ChiloteFlaite

Actually jag Panzer IS Power Metal band. One of the pioneers in fact.

    First one is Manowar.

Go away, and listen to your over-melodic bands.

  • @WishmasterTheDark

Dude, learn what you're talking about, Jani left because of problems with his conscription, it had nothing to do with change of style.

  • @Darktoonlink88

I am pretty sure that I watched one interview with him where he stated that he didn't like the new style.

  • @WishmasterTheDark Jani left because his military service mess.

  • @Ultimatecamouflage

I don't have information about that, maybe that was ONE OF the reasons, but main reason is major sound change. He said that in an interview, and he didn't mention military at all.

  • @WishmasterTheDark Ok but Elias is a great player too and s fun guy so whatever

  • I liked Days of Grays better than Unia. Tommy wasn't inexplicably afraid to hit the bass drum on every eighth note like in Unia. I think it's a great element to their music (and power metal, really)

  • Comment removed

  • yes, i think also that their style hasn't change. They have just found themselves. And I love these new songs. I also love the old ones. This is awesome song!

  • This is awesome, where in the world can I download it at?

  • @NitroThunderForce just google you tube to mp3 and you'll find how...

  • @NitroThunderForce savevid.com

  • Ahh man, every time I hear this I love it more and more. This song proves Sonata still has the capability to do songs similar to their old style, while still incorporating elements from their new style. I kinda wish they'd include more like this on the main albums though to shut up everyone who bitches about "their style changing"

  • LOL. 2 years after the albums release, well almost I guess, and now I find out this track...

  • @dragothica , my thoughts exactly! I was like, what?!!!! Time to catch up! Haha! ^^

  • Henrik's solo is so gooooooood

  • Who cares if their style has changed? If you don't like the new songs - listen at the old ones. And if you like the new songs of them, okey? What 's the problem? We all is different.

  • Woah... thats awesome. Also,... Days of Grays doesn't suck by any stretch of the mind.

  • Have to agree with Rqoiz.

What's this talk about change of style? I started with Unia album but if I'd have to guess then that was the album that had a little different style. And then Days of Grays is a little different again. But I wouldn't really call that changing style, I'd say it's exactly like CapnKeys said and is only a positive thing. Unless you really want all of their songs to be same, that'd be lame.

  • Damn it! I hate these bounus tracs! Why can't all songs be on all versions of the albums?

  • "their style hasn't changed"...

    ...it made me laugh.

  • @JulietLaiho :O but this song is very similar to their old style :o... I like it more than the more progressive stuff on the album.

  • now this is how they should sound always, personally i think this is a better representation of their new sound, and the days of grays would have been a lot better (or less sucky) if this song and in my eyes..... were included instead of shit like zeroes and no dream...., and not only as bonus tracks

  • The sound will never change as long as Tony remains the frontman. You know why?!?! HE WRITES THE FRIGGIN MUSIC!!!

  • To be honest, Elias didnt really change the sound that much. The transition was very smooth.

SA today is a different band than ten years ago. I enjoy both, but the CD I'd choose to take on a deserted island is still Ecliptica, easily.

  • Elias is amazing, Jani did a good work but i think Elias is better :)

  • With each passing album, Sonata Arctica becomes more and more diverse...which causes me to listen to less amount of bands.....soon, ill ONLY need Sonata Arctica...

    xD

  • @ParraAHS OMG YES! Then we can create the Sonata Cult! I mean... Uh... Ima go now.... >.>

  • wow, old sonata arctica style!

    very good song

  • Check out Elias' own albums! There you will find a proof he is crazy and exellent guitarist!!

  • the intro sounds kinda like porn

  • who says elias can't play fast?? he's just as good a player as jani is. I like this band just as much as I always have.

  • @dullbr dude i love the band as much as before but i preferred janis charisma on stage and i dont think hes faster than elias but i do thinkhe wrote some pretty awesome solos i havnt seen from elias yet :S

  • @aae1234 100% agreed. Jani's style and composing/guitar melodys etc were much better. But Elias is reallllly good too :)

  • @aae1234 i dissagree, in deathaura elias has a pretty badass solo and when they play live. elias really kicks ass. jani is awesome though and its sad he left.

  • Heil Yeah! Thanks Tony

  • A very good song. Tony could have at least put this one on the album instead of one of his few bad songs (i will not give the names, don't want to die^^).

  • @NeverLoseHope222 Then I think we are in agreement :D. I like both the old and the new style, just perhaps the songs in the new style take more listens to appreciate fully :P.

  • @NeverLoseHope222 I had a listen too, and to me it only seems vaguely similar. I wouldn't say it's a rip off :P

Both are good songs, though! Henkka and Elias show some win solo'age in this song :D

  • @opentoedsandles I read this at the exact same time the solo's started... and wow. Just wow xD

  • "Henkka's Song".... Made my day : )

  • Shhhh! Everybody stop bickering; I can't hear the music

  • Great keyboard and guitar solo. I miss those in the other titles of this album. But it's a great album.

  • Who said Elias can't play solos?

This sounds so much like Reckoning Night... it's an amazing song.

  • Comment removed

  • @MawBTS I think that sonata sound it's really more more more rafinate then teocracy.Listen better, man, the sound is pretty differently, indeed

  • @MawBTS Whats funny is I saw Theocracy open for Sonata In Atlanta!

  • On which version of the album was this bonus track?

  • @KelDuriel Nothing More = Japanese bonus Track

In The Dark = European bonus track

In My Eyes You're A Giant = Japanese & US bonus track

  • @keysofgears thx

This song kicks ass. Why has it to be on the japanese version. I want to have it on the euopean one / :

  • @KelDuriel

Japanese albums are more expensive than European or international releases. They have to put some bonus songs on the albums because if they don't, Japanese people would just buy the album online for a lower price.

I was like wtf when I listened to it, but that's how it is

  • @TrapnestShinigami Ahh okay thats new to me, but if I would be a japanese I would buy the album nevertheless, because I think it looks way better to have the original cd than just the songs on computer ;D

    THIS SONG IS AWESOME

  • @KelDuriel

Yes, but maybe you would buy the eruopean version in Amazon or something instead of the japanese one, because it's more expensive, that's why ;)

  • @TrapnestShinigami I already have the european version ;D The only SA-album I could find in store here in germany, unfortunately, so I have to buy them in amazon nevertheless

  • That guitarsolo was just so damn awesome!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I CLICKED DISLIKE BY MISTAKE!!FUCKING NOOB

  • @legenda0a0ne0nina0 haha and you are the only one LOL

  • @patsolvaz24 Irony really >_>.

  • how is possible that i havent heard this before?? i have the days of gray's bonus album. is this some japanese release or bonus in a single?? i wanna know D:

    its awesome song :)

  • @CrossedScythes Yeah, this song was only in Japan. I wish we could've gotten it >.<

  • @KRDsonic awww, no fair! i would understand if they were japanese, but theyre not... damn :P

but thanks for letting me know ^^

  • I LOVE THIS SONG "MADE IN HENKKA"!

fuck the person who did not like

  • @smasherbrawl dude..... you're soooo wrong. It's not made in Henkka, it's made BY Henkka.. gosh man...

  • @ANTTU24 And?

    I know.

    I wanted to write that.

    But, no problem man =D

  • @smasherbrawl Made in Henkka just made my day

  • @DarthSitthiander :D yeah when i got that comment it made my day too

  • @classicadelmantro if you're clever enough, you would read the info where is the truth......... the truth is out there

  • III

  • "We're not Iron Maiden, and we're not from England; We are Sonata and we come from Finland!"

  • @MrPengiSan

I just LOOOVE when they say that! For some reason it just sounds so goddamn epic! ;D

  • damn, got the cd without this song. i like it :), but i didn't know it existed :( .

    but stil GREAT SONG!!!

  • their "style" hasn't changed - they're just getting more diverse, which is a good thing. it means that they're not pigeonholing themselves.

  • @CapnKeys for me... they were building their own style and it is in every song made. I'm sick of people who think that Sonata Arctica is like Stratovarious just because they heard Ecliptica. I Agree they're just getting more diverse!

  • thx

  • where are sonota artica coming from? somone says finland and somone says spain what is it?

  • @Sirbigbase FINLAND (y)

  • @Sirbigbase SPAIN IS A LIE!

  • @Sirbigbase it is finland for sure. i looked on wikipedia and it says finland XD

  • @marlieswolf96 LOL wikipedia

  • @ANTTU24 hey i'm dutch :) sometimes dutch people do weird things, alright *-*

  • @marlieswolf96 i see... and i guess you're born in 1996, like my littlebrother.. lol. you should check out band's website

  • @Sirbigbase

All the good stuff is coming from Finland

  • see peole? the guitarrist has nothing to do with the change of style of the songs because this one reminds of the old ones and well if Tony wanted a change I don't see nothing wrong about it... I like their new style and I'm also happy they still do songs like the old ones.

  • @fallinginblue ... I LOVE THIS COMMENT. because that is just right! ppl don't understand it... it's tony's choice and i like both of those styles. THANKS

  • THANK YOU for finaly saying it!

There is nothing wrong with this new style the roots that what make Sonata are still all there at the end of the day =D

  • @fallinginblue I agree. Besides, Tony says that if they wouldn't have changed the style and done Unia the band would maybe have done 1 or 2 more albums and then split up. So as well as I don't mind them changing styles I'm happy they did :D

  • @fallinginblue jani left the band because tony stopped writing power metal. jani is in Cain's Offering because they are classic power metal. jani didnt want to sell out and tony did, thats it.

  • @yumdubaby hehe you are the gayest guy in the world :) jani didn't left the band asshole

  • @yumdubaby What the hell? Jani got kicked because of his failure to complete his military services. It had nothing to do with the music style. And there is nothing "sell out" about Unia. Though none of their albums are "commercial" at all, the old ones would be considered more commercial, and not Unia, due to it being more difficult and "different"/crazy-sounding than the older albums.

  • @Windaros True. They do what they like to. They are not "sell outs" or "commercial" like many pop albums are... Sonata makes their music, not record companies or other shit. Jani didn't also have nothing to do with change. Everybody wanted it! Jani failed which is sad. I should almost remove every comment here and dsable them... here is too much wrong information.

  • @ANTTU24 I like their newer stuff ofc, but i feel in general they should back to the reckoning album style. at least that. because that was album where they kind of got their style down how they wanted to and perfected it. The albums before it were amazing as well, but a lot of the sounds sounded similar to Stratovarious. I like the latest album as well. They did not sell out at all. that's bs.

  • @ANTTU24 I just wanna thank you for posting this song, because I've never heard this song (which is odd considering I have Ecliptica, Silence, Winterheart's Guild, Reckoning Night, Unia, and Days of Grays lined up on my shelf...) And I agree with you on everything on the opinion that Jani failed. From what I understand, Jani tried to get out of certain mandatory military/civil service, and he departed the band during this time. I'd honestly like to see Jani and Elias on stage together :D

  • In an interview Tony saithat he and the band simply decided that they could express thier true feeling better in a different sound, isn't this keeping true to themselves?

  • @yumdubaby cain's offering sucks and is way softer than sonata arctica (and that's saying much)

  • @fallinginblue i prefer the past sonata arctica and yes, the guitar player has something to do with the change, he is not as good as jani and can't do what he used to, so the play more chords and less rifts and harmonies, even the keyboards are simple and without solos... I just like 3 or 4 songs from their "new style"

  • @saedemoph Tony writes ALL of the music for Sonata Arctica, this has been confirmed by band members countless times in interviews across the years. Only guitar and keyboard solo's are written by the other members. A lot of what people think are Jani's riffs are most likely Tony's. He is the lifeblood of this band, and HE creates the music.

  • esta muy bueno el tema xD, que lo toquen en vivo xD

  • HEY GUYS!!

Check out the video response :) I mixed the last amazinf grays :)

  • Hey man, you're great, the sound of your mix is awesome, and it sounds... without words! I loved it! |,,|

  • Aaagh, some of their best songs are bonus tracks, and I just can't seem to find them to buy anywhere..!

  • It's a good song....

    Is this a Japan Bonus?

  • Sounds like something that would have came from Reckoning Night (chorus sounds a lil like Wrecking the Sphere.)

  • @RAAAR2314

I think it looks like silence. Anyways, such an awesome song, I miss the old sonata but I'm not gonna stop listening to them because of their new style even though I don't reeeally love it. Changes are necessary. Maybe they change again soon, who knows? it doesn't matter, they will always be gods for me.

  • Antuu I love you bro. keep posting these amazing videos.

  • oh my god... they are back with this awesome song...

  • Yes its like everyone says, its sounds more like old Sonata, i like it :)

  • omg i love this song

  • Lol.

  • love. I love them. I love them! <3

  • Wonderful! Really a great song...

  • Nope.

  • it sounds like old Sonata... so i love it)

  • aarghh lovely songs, the bonus songs!!! :D

  • If this is what the Album could have sounded like, then Henrik should be the only one allowed to write the songs from now on...

  • @SymphonyforClassics you deserve 100 thumbs up

  • I met Henkka when I went to the concert.........*resist utter spaz moment* o.e...........amazing

  • where can i download this song? this song it's like ecliptica album jejeje

  • @Darcktica I haven't found the download link. my friend sent it to me

  • The Best Theme , ever conceived by sonata arctica..,,.,.,.,

  • why the hell doesnt this guy compose more music. DAMN YOU TONY KAKKO. DAMN YOU AND YOUR OPPRESIVE WAYS!!!! XP

  • Yeah, I don't get why they keep on putting great songs on the japanese version of albums... This is way better than in the dark. Same thing with Nightwish and their song Nightquest, which was initially released for the japanese market only, but then in the re-issue the label company included it in the 'regular' album

  • how do you mean?? I loved in the dark. They had to be on the album both!!!

  • Pfth This should have been included as part of the album itself. Its definitley worthy.

  • FUCKING EPIC.

  • lovely end xD I f**king love it

  • Hekka is so amazing, he has nspired me to learn to play the keytar/keyboard

  • Henkka is my favourite keyboard player! ^^

    I love his custom keytars!

  • Yea... How do you get keyboards customized? I've been wanting to for a while now...

  • @wannabetheguy My friend has a Roland AX7 like blue Henkka's Keytar.

  • Can I have it? Lol

  • Oh no, sorry :D

  • Well how did he get it like that?

  • He mades his own with a photo (sorry for the bad english :D)

  • @LechugazoJuanReturns ahh ok well, like how did he paint it? what kind of paint? because i want to paint certain keys black like henkkas new keytar... can oyu have him get in contact with me some how?

  • WOW

    AWESOME FINAL

  • I wish I could find this song in audio format. I have everything else by Sonata except for this one song.

  • took me a while to find it but i got it!

  • damn, i want this song played at my funeral. The solo would raise me from the dead.

  • Sometimes I wish i lived in Japan so i could actually have the physical album with bonus songs to hold in my hands and marvel at.

  • I have never wanted to live in japan. but i agree with that album thing! It would be awesome if there was a website where you could buy a japanese album with a good prise.

  • The solos in this song are the best from the whole album IMO.

Elias and Henkka are simply too great! :) I wish that in the next album they'll have more opportunities to show of their skills.

Henrik did a great job in composing this!

  • 2:05 woah!

  • cool song the giant song too thanks for uploading

  • NB keeps deleting these... I'm going to buy this version of DoG when I have money, because of this awesome song. And I'm collector. :D
