  • Oh god, of course this video would have a Peru/Chile pissing contest in the comments section.

How about you guys get a boxing tournament together to resolve this? Or maybe a good old fashioned pistol duel?

  • El pisco es Chileno y el autogol Peruano! jajajaja True that Pisco gets its name from the region of Pisco in Peru, but it was a chilean distiller living in Peru that originated it. Learn your history!

  • every weekend !!!

  • "In most eggs, the salmonella bacteria exist only on the shell. Eggs should be scalded in boiling water for five seconds before use." !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pisco is a strong, colorless grape brandy. It was developed by Spanish settlers in the 16th century as a cheaper alternative to orujo, a pomace brandy that was being imported from Spain.

  • Our llamas are better than your llamas.

  • He's shattered!

  • Thank you for making this video :-)

  • Remember the bar in San Francisco? It was i 1830, the cocktail? Pisco Punch.Where came the pisco???? FROM PISCO PERÚ!!!!!

  • Seems like Chris is out-of-breath after that workout. His voice sounds like hes smoked a few cigarettes in his life too. I thought he was going to pass out.

    saludos xD

  • The original recipe is 3oz of Pisco(Peruvian of course), 1 oz of syrup, 1 oz lime juice, 1 eggwhite and ice cubes. mix it in a blender or shaker. serve and add few drops of amargo angostura

  • how this guy destroy the Pisco sour recipe.. forget the sweet part and also glass temperture.. THIS IS WRONG recipe.

  • This guy made a real Pisco Sour.. the peruvian one XD

  • we use chilean pisco to wash our glasses :D. real peruvian pisco roxx

  • I 'd like to say how is posible this peruvian people can said this kind of shit, I'm a chilean chef who knows about history and geografia every body know a city in Peru named Pisco,

but I' ll tell you the truth:

-the largest PISCO producer and exporter in the world is CHILE.

-We've aguardiente and pisco two diferents products.

    Finally,

  • learn what does "pisco" mean in ur fucking country before making a fool of urself

  • I 'd like to say how is posible this peruvian people can said this kind of shit, I'm a chilean chef who knows about history and geografia every body know a city in Peru named Pisco,

-the largest PISCO producer and exporter in the world is CHILE.

-We've aguardiente and pisco two diferents products.

Finally, I and chilean people we feel proud for too many reasons as:

  • pisco is from peru like tekila is from mexico...just taste and compare

  • Heyyy dude, you are so wrong...Pisco is from Peru since 1670 aprox .... Pisco is a Quechua word that means "Bird". Is true that Chile make Pisco but you need to know that Pisco is from Peru...Jackass

  • Chileans all claim that pisco is from Chile. Peruvians all claim it is from Peru. You're the jackass, since the true answer isn't really known. However, Peruvian pisco IMO is better, and the peruvian style recipe is better (Chileans omit bitters and egg).

  • no jackasses here, no one "claims" pisco is from here or there, pisco IS peruvian.

brandy (aguardiente) is made everywhere, but only one country produces "PISCO".

  • 100% Peruvian drink......Check the liquor stores and compare chilean pisco and peruvian pisco.......PRICE tells you everything.....Salud!!

  • PISCO ES = PERU

  • if you ever going to make a real pisco sour you MUST use pisco from peru you will feel the difference other than that the video is pretty close to the peruvian recipe

  • pisco is peru

  • It's impossible to make a mix for Peruvian Pisco Sour without having the sour of the Peruvian Lemmon....this lemon is unique only grown in the northern deserts of Piura, Peru northern state.

Also it is not possible to get the same texture if you have no sugar cane syrup...

As ever you do it, just enjoy !

    PISCO = P E R U

  • PISCO = P E R U ....!!!!!

  • Oh boy! There's nothing more exciting than an old-fashioned online Peru vs. Chile pisco debate!!! WOW!!! How exciting!

Sarcasm alert. All this us vs them stuff completely misses the point, which is making great cocktails. That's something Mr. McMillian does with great humility.

    Enjoy the vid.

  • Yeah, that old fashion fight! Reputation, tradition, bah! its outdated. Nobody in America cares about reputation and origin (maybe thats the reason why we are all buying japanese and korean cars) yeah who cares about reputation?, CEOs don´t. Anyway they can steal the publics money and in the end receive a special prize. Those little fights involving reputation and origin are "3rd worldish" fights! (or not?) Enjoy a peruvian Pisco.

  • Imagine a Brandy named New York Brandy (or brandy from New York, or just NewYorker), distilled in New York, from grapes grown in New York, macerated in special vessels named "New Yorkers"and exported from the port of New York....now, imagine the Canadians claiming that they are co-creators of the spirit.....what!?

  • Sir, just for that I'm going to vacation in Santiago next winter instead of Lima, and I'll tell everybody who will listen that the Pisco Sour originates from Chile.

  • It's your choice. You have my permission.... while in Santiago, don´t forget to go to "El Otro Sitio" or "Pardo´s Chicken" or "Astrid&Gaston" restaurants. Good Chilean food and drinks.

  • tell that story in kentucky or glasgow, bourbon can only come from one place but anybody can make whiskey/whisky.

  • @juanchirimoya bourbon can come from anywhere in the USA....

  • The Original Pisco is peruvian. Pisco is in Peru. Pisco is a city peruvian since 1640. The chilean copy the name pisco in 1936 and they changed the name "la union" city for pisco elqui. the chilean were disloyal.

  • i forgot, next time use a blender if you do not have heart attack. you seems really without breath

  • hello mr keithmarszalek. I would like to inform you that El pisco is a peruvian drink. If you are a professional baratender you should have known that before posting your video. what you are doing here is just making Peruvians and chileans fight. The peruvians are the creator of El pisco. Google it, and then post a video saying you are sorry for making Peruvians angry.

  • Pisco is a great and famous drink from Peru! please if you are going to post a video do your proper research first or should we start saying FOOTBALL a great and famous sport from NORTH AMERICA?

  • I would like to make one thing clear about the Pisco video...Pisco is a Peruvian drink therefore there is not such a thing as Peruvian Pisco or Chilean Pisco as there is not such a thing as French Champagne or Japanese Champagne! The authentic one comes from the Champagne region in France as for the rest we called them "SPARKLING WINE", well the same applies for Pisco the ORIGINAL and ONLY one comes from the region of Pisco in Peru as for the other ones we called them anything else but Pisco!.

  • @johannita03 Not necessarily true... Both countries produce Pisco and there is no national denomination, as in Scotch or Champagne. I could make and sell Pisco in Cleveland and sell it under that name if I wanted. You are right about the original coming from Pisco, Peru. However, Pisco and Pisco Sours are drank heavily in both Chile and Peru.

  • I would like to personally invite you to our beautiful country to taste the many varieties of Pisco that we have to offer, I believe this would be a tremendous help for you so you can become more Knowledgeable at what you do or at least a bit more inform.

Thank You and have a bless week!

  • PIsco is just from PERU old guy!!!!!! peru is the only place tha make pisco..Chile make grape aguardiente!!!!!

  • this is not the right glass to place Pisco Sour ,watch out a glass call "Kero" is more proper for that drink , and be carefull with the amount of ice because if you put too much your drink could be kind of flat .

  • peruvian pisco is cristal clear what means for purity and quality..chilean Ron have a little yellow color cause use water and alcohol to get the right level of alcohol..YOU DECIDE!!!

  • @miltonsava

wtf? Ron == spanish for Rum... Pisco has nothing to do with rum, it is distilled from 1-8 different fermented sorts of grapes and stored in glass or steel tanks. Pisco doesnt age in wooden barrels, thats why pisco in general is clear. Rum/Rhum/Ron on the other hand is a completely different story, first it's made from molasses or sometimes sugar cane. Then its stored in wooden barrels which gives the golden color. Apples don't taste different from bananas because of their origin!

  • @DonMoza i will you recommend watch a video how Peruvian pisco is made..and also a chilean how they do it .. Peruvian is grape juice =pisco //// the other is grapes juices = process =maceration=sweetness process = alcohol adition= water balance =pisco....NOTE: ask for a platano de manzana in peru they taste like apples amazing .....2 years later its crazy ..

  • @miltonsava

Chilean Pisco has a distinctive colour because it ages in oak barrels which influence the colour and flavor of the spirit (just as in the case of whisky). It's not yellow because of the addition of water (since when water is yellow)

  • @MattMetapoland wow after 3 years ..wow ..ok age?..peruvian pisco don't need to take age!! waiting for what?....you have to buy a bottle of pisco from peru of course and it's says DESTILADO ..TRY IS VERY DELICIOUS the yellow color is not cause the agua its cause the alcohol used..in little words ron rubio..ok time out ..bye

  • Pisco is Peruvian, the chileans copy the name and make an ugly and bad-for-your-health liquor.

  • Google the word "PISCO" and you will find out where it is originally from.

Of course the only high quality Pisco is from PERU, the others are just cheap imitations like those from SHITLE.

Viva Pisco, Viva Tequila, Viva Vodka >)

  • chile use to belong to peru...so more likely peru no? i think so

  • I love this guy i cant get enough of his vids. he is very good and knoledgable. he deffinetaly knows his stuff.

  • PISCOOOO!!! uUUUuuuuumh! JAJAJA! TQHC MITO!!

    ;) hav fun miamor!

  • Pisco is originally from Peru. The chilean "pisco" is different is several ways, included the way it is distilled. Finally, there is only 1 city of Pisco located in Peru (for a good reason...).

  • what Chile has is not pisco, is AGUARDIENTE, so stop saying that "PISCO" from chile is different, ,we have "PISCO" they only have "aguardiente" ,thAT means only "alcohol"

  • You dumb fucks that criticize this bartender, you just dont know how to bartend at all!!!! This Guy is a great bartender, but it takes one to see one.

  • hey dumbshit, Pisco is from Peru. There is no such a thing like Pisco from Chile... fuck you crappy bartender!!!

Pisco is huge in Chile. We have an area which consist of nothing but pisco fermentation its about 4 hrs north of Santiago. Peruvians and Chileans have fought for several years for originity rights of Pisco. Chilean Pisco in my opinion is much stronger but ill give it to the Peruvians for the origination.

  • Keep being blind and believe that Pisco is from other country than Peru.

Most countries recognize the original word "Pisco" is 100% peruvian. So keep trying to steal the name but no one will believe you.

Why do chileans try to steal everything? I feel sorry for them, since they have no shit to show to the world, they have to steal names and brands from other countries, that is so much bullshit! Get your own shit SHITLE

Greetings from Finland. Peruvian Pisco is the best of best! >)

  • Youre an idiot and under educated. Learn how to read and comprehend dumb fuck! I was giving credit to Peru although my fellow chileans claim it as there own. And as far as chileans go, they have much to be proud of.... such as, home of the furthest southern city in the world other than antartica, least corrupt country in South America as well as being home to the oldest port town of the entire pacific coast(Valpariaso). So fuck off FINLAND!

  • Eat your shit, moron!! Everyone knows you chileans are STEALERS!!!!!!! boooooo make up your own shit and stop stealing names from other places, poor dipshit!!!

Vodka is so good, as good as a pisco sour >)

  • ohh hell yeaaa voodka is so good as Pisco! !

  • no one said pisco the alcohol, didn't come from pisco, they said this specific use of pisco was from lima, by a particular bartender. that isn't an anti peruvian statement.

  • he is saying the PISCO SOUR was invented by american victor morris in Peru Lima , the Pisco was invented in PISCO PERU not Lima Peru, so why he didnt bring the pisco sour to USA, it doesnt make sence, so if it was true, the pisco was invented in Peru, the groves from Peru created the Pisco SOur, so its from PERU, :D peace

  • We care where Pisco from, u cant say champagne is from italy cause Champagne is from FRANCE,so we care and we should know PISCO is from PERU, from a City called PISCO ,they started doing Pisco in XIX , Pisco is a Quechua word native word from Peru, there is not word called Pisco in CHile, they got araucana language, its different, so THE PISCO can only be from PERU historically, and chile copied it

  • I support this idea... Pisco, the drink and name is originally from Peru, but of course other morons like chileans will say it belongs to them too... Viva Pisco, Viva Vodka, Viva Tequila!! :)

  • land of the incas viva el peru!!

  • He's right. I'm peruvian and I've read in many books that Pisco Sour was invented in the 1920's in Lima by American Victor Morris, owner of the "Morris Bar", which operated between 1915 and 1933. After Morris invented the pisco sour the "Hotel Maury" perfected it.

Sikkuri, try this book by José Antonio Schiaffino, "The Origin of the Pisco Sour".

    Arriba el Peru Carajo!

  • Before you tell Mr McMillan to "go back to school, you should see the vast knowledge he demonstrates in many other videos on this same channel. Just because he gets on the wrong side of ambiguity does not mean he needs to "go back to school".

  • I guess it is like asking: who created the hamburger, the hot dog or Budweiser? Most americans would be irritated if Hamburg, Frankfurt in Germany or Budweiser (Czech Republic) took credit for these.

Pisco is a historic peruvian symbol, like cebiche and cuzco. Chilean pisco is distilled diffently in Chile and tastes less smooth.

Fyi, the original Pisco used in pisco sour was Montesiere...from Perú. And cinnamon dusting is a classic touch.

  • I am Chilean, and seriously...who cares if it came from Peru or Chile as long as continue to enjoy it? It is a lovely drink and it represents the cultural identities of both countries, so who cares if it is chilean or peruvian. Instead of making t a subject of discourse, we should just drink it and cut the crap. Viva Peru, Chile and our lovely Pisco.

  • i care U_U it comes from peru..viva chile mierda!, viva el peru y el pisco peruano =)

  • jajaaaja

  • Have some style, mariposa.

  • Huh?

  • i've tried both of them peruvian and chilean.. the peruvian is better i tell you. You got a lovely bar there ;)

  • Nice vid, and nicely put on the history of the Pisco which is very controversial in both Chile and Peru (mostly in Peru I'll say), I am Peruvian by the way, and great of you to mention that Pisco Sour was originated in Lima-Peru by an american bartender, something that chilean also say to be their national cocktail, 2 questions: which Pisco r u using on this vid?, and which Pisco is better to use for this cocktail?
