@LiveX001 when did i say it WAS a 4 cylinder? i said it SOUNDS like a 4 cylinder. of course i know what is under the bonnet, its a tuned 4.4 litre turbocharged v8 that produces about 580hp.

@Rapide0910 nope, you're talking about the previous M6 (E63) which has got the naturally aspirated high revving 5.0 V10. this one has obviously got a new, more efficient engine with a turbocharged 4.4l engine, which i find, doesn't make a great sound compared to the previous models even including the current E90/E92/E93 M3s.

@Rapide0910 The old one had the 5.0L V10(atmospheric engine) the new one will have 4,4L V8 (Turbocharged). They went for downsizing for less fuel consumption :)

@MrUSSR26 well those were cars that had been inspired by times when bmw was still in f1, hence the high revving v8/10's . they also have to meet new EU emission and safety regulations. and as long it says M/// on the trunk its a real M/// car in my opinion. but anyway i totally agree. thats why i just bought an e92 m3 and I'm probably never gonna sell it, just because they'll never going to make such beautiful engines again .
