  • 32 seconds is a somewhat decent time to make a full court sprint and with each suicide it gets harder but still 20 minutes is possible

  • @Kuriboh999 i did 20 suicides in 17minutes it wasnt that hard i think its harder to do something like 4 sets of 17s each one done within a minute. And then adding forward sprints ladders and jump roping doing it all at max effort this aint shit

  • @blitzflame08 normally around 30. it would be they would run the suicide every minute, if you run it fast, more rest. however if you have ever done suicides back to back, you slow down very quick when your doing alot.

  • @LolsitzGeorge Never timed myself, but I did run the 400 meter in 52 seconds as a soph in high school. Suicides are meant to be sprint.

  • Ha, my coach makes us do that all the time. It's hell because we do minimum of 5, if someone doesn't get it in the time we have, we gotta do it all over. 5 without messing up. :(

    It's really good for your endurance though.

  • with us, if someone was late... for every minute they were late we'd have one suicide... one kid was 30 minutes late so that was a great day haha

  • i run for like an hour a day (indoors though, cause it's really hot out and that tires me out quickly) , i play other sports with my friends and i dance ... do u think this will help build my stamina? ... i just started running this summer ... basically i tried something new to help wit basketball ...

  • id be running more then an hour a day if thats all the conditioning your doing. if you wanna stick with an hour, make it a good hour, then do little quickness drills and stuff after. if your serious about playing ball, try to get in a gym too.

  • thanks for the advice XBball4lifeX ... what do u mean by make it a good hour ( should i be running at a fairly fast pace? ) and what's a good drill for quickness ? i usually do some strength building exercises after i run for an hour .... so would running for a good hour, quickness drills and then strength training ( all done one after another) help build my stamina ?

    im serious about basketball ... but it's high school ball ... is it really that competitive ?

  • by serious about it i meant are you planning to goto college or above to play it.when i said "make it a good hour" i meant like if your only going to be outside for an hour make sure your running the whole time. when your doing it its better to sprint for a distance and then run for a distance, just beacuse basketball is stop and go and that will help you learn how to change pace on a dime. i have some fairly simple quickness drills for you if you message me.

  • it will build ur stamina but for basketball u should do sprints because that simulates a game where ur constantly running up and down the floor full speed. suicide is the best drill and also running a mile as fast as u can. cuz theres a lot of breaks in basketball-whistle blows, timeouts, etc... so a long 1 hour jog wud build ur stamina but it doesnt simulate the game. also, it depends wut other sports u playin. soccer is the best if u wanna get better footwork. football for contact also.
