Monitors always have lag, it also depends on technologie.(TN, IPS, PVA etc.)

TN is the fastest with response times (good for games),but not natural colors.

IPS is the best because of vertical viewing angles and colors,but slow response and low contrast.

PVA is good choice, it's just between IPS and TN, but the best thing is to buy a IPS monitor with good response times, for example; LG Flatron IPS226V and LG IPS235V (bang for the buck) Or else go for the E2773HDS-B1 or B2475HDS

@cuamio03 You need your standard scart lead for the console, You need 3.5mm Stereo Jack to 2 x RCA/Phono - Left & Right Audio (red and white adapter in vid), You need. Female to Female 3.5mm Stereo Earphone Jack Coupler (to plug end of stereo jack and speaker jack) and you need HDMI cable if you have HDMI moniter, if not you need a HDMI to VGA or HDMI to DVI

I want to connect my PS3 and 360 to the same monitor. My monitor has built in HDMI, VGA, and DVI. I was going to connect the PS3 to it using HDMI, and my 360 using an HDMI to DVI adapter cable. Is there a way I'd be able to get sound of out both of them at the same time, or would I only be able to use this method, and exchange the component audio cables between the PS3 and 360, whenever I wanted to play them? Thanks.

My problem is:

I connect my ps3 to the pc monitor witch supports 1080p.

I start my PS3 and everything goes smooth. The resolution is 1080p at the main ps3 menu.

But then when i start a game it looks like it's connecting out and in again.

So then when my game starts the resolution is bad. Not 1080p.

I tried everything, also set all the HDMI options to full and high.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

@TFBOTI except that the sound does not work on the monitor you need to set that up differently and also not all monitors will work like this and finally that is not totally true you can find the wii proprietary cable to hdmi online

OH! and i almost forgot some people don't understand this kind of thing that is why they look it up on youtube to find out how that is the point of tech review and how to

@LuftwafenSS Unfortunately it doesn't the hdmi slot in a laptop is only used for putting the image to a separate screen, because the slot in the computer is not sending a signal to the screen only to the actual system. Sorry to disappoint, i have also wondered the same thing and tried it on my brothers dell studio laptop and did not work. :(

@LuftwafenSS ok so unfortunately as far as i know this does not work with laptops seeing as most (if not all) laptops don't have hdmi inputs if yours does presumably it should work!

When it's on your computer can you use fraps or any game recorder to record gameplay on an xbox 360 when you play it on your pc? And can you tell me all the cables and whatever. Can't quite understand all the cables you used.

@ThaMachinima I do not believe you can use fraps or anything like this as it is not a normal computer it is just the moniter which is just as good as a TV. So the answer to your first question is no you can't (if you find out you can i would love to know). for cables i used a standard HDMI cable, the standard VGA cables for sound(should come with the system, then you want a VGA to 3.5mm headphone jack, then you want FEMALE 3.5mm to FEMALE 3.5mm coupler, then just plug the speaker in other end.

this is a suck tutorial , a Wii hasnt got the same construction as a PS3, which means a wii do not have the HDMI connection at the back of the console
