  • Great Clip & even better Tone ! I love those 355s. I can't seem to find ANY info on your 1958 355 RI however. Custom shop? Are they available without the tremolos? Where could I get one? Thanks !

  • Thanks Steven! It was a limited run back in 2005, I think. Great guitar...wish I still had it. I traded for a 32 channel TOFT ATB Keep an eye on evil bay for one...they come up from time to time.

BTW-Fine looking scooter on your page.

  • YEAH!!! that was awesome!!!! great player, AMAZING tone buddy. I'm definitely getting this amp! I'll rock out with my 135 and try playing some nasty funk haha! Great stuff thanks for putting this up.

  • Thanks man! Thanks a lot.

This amp will cover a lot of bases!

  • Andy, your bendings are really tasteful. Love that feel. And yeah, ES-335 are magical. Keep it up!

  • Thank you very much! It's an easy piece to "feel". I need to study Stern more..

And yeah...the Gibson is cool... ;-D

    Thanks!

  • Close your eyes and it sounds like Jeff Beck!

  • Thanks Matt!!!!

Thansks a bunch! This post made my day! AB

  • ya dude rock on thnx for the message man

    cookie monster rox

  • No prob brother. Just doin what I do.

    Cookie Monster?

    Alright!!!! :)

  • ace playing man. would you recommend the Modena? im in the market for a new amp.

  • Thanks man!

Love the Elmwood...but for what your going for...a 50 watt Marshall 1987 RI is what you want. Inexpensive, and it gives up the goods at a lower volume than you'd think. Hendrix-Clapton-Beck- Page...it's all there. And you can buy one used CHEAP!

    It's the real deal. AB

  • funny you should mention that amp, my cousin owns one and i think its brilliant. I was also looking at the marshall 1959slp, although id need a power brake to go with it, as its just too loud.

  • i think youre right though, the 50 watt 1987 is probably a much better suit. its more manageable.

  • That ES 355 is one of the most beautiful guitars in existence. : )

  • I just bought myself a gibson es-335 "dot" (whatever that means, you know?) and it's a great instrument. Anyways, I LOVE such solo picking stuff that you do at 1:10. MY GOD I shiver! respect!!!

  • Hey There!

Thanks a lot for the compliments. Thank you very much.

BTW- The "dot" is a reference to the fret markers.

  • Dot means the inlays that mark the 3rd 5th, etc frets are those little circles. There is also Block which are the shiny rectangles.

  • Ok thanks, but do you know if there's a difference between "gibson custom es-335" and "gibson es-335 custom shop" ?

  • The "Custom ES-335" is probably a normal Gibson, but with better appointments, gold hardware, better binding, better inlays, that kind of stuff. The Custom Shop ES-335 is probably going to be of higher quality than a regular Gibson, and more expensive.

  • Wow,great sound!

    I love this ES:D

  • Thanks a lot!. Thanks for listening!

I've got this amp for sale on evil-bay, and I'm really not sure I want to sell it! Compliments like yours make me REALLY think about keeping it.

    Thanks again for listening! AB

  • Sounds pretty cool!

  • Thanks for listening. I really dig this guitar/amp combo a bunch.

  • little bit of the Dan in there! lol 5*

  • Hey Dave!

Yeah...about 2 cups of "The Dan" to be exact...then add a cup of Jimi, and spice with some Led Zeppelin, and you're there!

  • Nice warm tone. Sounds a bit like Scofield's tone on "The Red One".

I've been trying to decide- TS 808 or OCD?

    Do you have an opinion?

  • Hey There!

Thanks for listening. I've never played an OCD so I can't comment between the two...but a TS-808 is a VERY cool sounding pedal. From mild to full gain...it's great.

It also sounds great on vocals for the NIN/Trent Reznor sound. Really crunches them up without losing clarity.

Let me know what you decide! AB
