good job on training your boy. i wish he grow tall and still be as agil as he can be. I have always been the best basketball player when i was young compare to everyone i know. play for elementary, jr. high, and highschool on both freshmen and sophomore team. i gave up the sport when i was 16 and jr. in high school. just can't grow anymore. i'm 5'6" btw. I try making it up by being able to jump high but it won't change the outcome. i use to be able to grab the rim, can't dunk, only grab rim. gl!

you have to put him in more competitive league so he develops more of an all around game. It is doing him no good playing against guys he can fly past and get a lay in whenever he wants. Not to stereotype but I assume he isn't gonna be super tall. He needs to pass more and shoot more midrange jumpers.

you can tell he is a team player because he screens for his team mates and makes good passes. It looks like he does pass the ball but has more opportunities to make a point than pass it. this kid not only has skills but an unusually high B-Ball IQ. Not too many 8 year olds understand team play --screened the big post player, sees court very well (multiple passes to open teammates).
