Mc had made sort of his own type of choreography and Michael same thing. best dancer debate well i use to breakdance and i would say that i can do all of hammers stuff but only 50% of michael's stuff just by watching and doing. the other 50% of michael's stuff i would have to do a little rewinding and practicing. but they are both great performers. i see hammer as the high energy dancer and michael the more technical dancer.
Each artist owes their predecessors. M.C. Hammer lives in the house the Michael Built and Michael lives in the house that James Brown built and so on and so on....James Brown paved the way for Michael and was a big influence, just as Michael paved the way for M.C. Hammer and Janet for Britney and Alliyah....they all had a style similiar but added a little more flavor to it...all great dancers in their own right.

Hammer has the speed, the originality and the energy. MJ has the moves and and pop, I'd take Hammer's moves any day, the guy has serious martial arts flexibility and connective tissue strength that MJ just does not have.

I'm a huge Hammer fan. I grew up with Michael Jackson during my high school days and he was great, BUT Hammer like Steelerdave200 said. Hammer's moves were so natural and always on point. He made you want to get up and dance with him. Just spectacular. Saw him in concert twice and he was great up close. No one compares to HAMMER. NO ONE!!!

You shouldn't argue who is a better dancer. I like them both and they dance cool. Michael is the king of pop and although there are a lot of people, who trie to make his moves, nobody does it better. MC Hammer was a great dancer and had a few things about him that could have been patent and made him a rich man. However MJ had a spirit that moved him outside of choreography that you could see if you looked at the dancers around them.
When it comes to strictly dancing, I think Hammer has the edge over MJ..He appears to have more natural moves..MJ goes through alot of self practicing to master every move he makes and does it extremely well, but like I said..If the two were put on an impromtu dance off(no rehearsals or choreographs), Hammer's going to win...But when it comes to the overall package(dance, singing, creating, entertaining)..We all know who takes the crown there..MJ MJ MJ.

I'm a huge Hammer fan. I grew up with Michael Jackson during my high school days and he was great, BUT Hammer like Steelerdave200 said. Hammer's moves were so natural and always on point. He made you want to get up and dance with him. Just spectacular. Saw him in concert twice and he was great up close. No one compares to HAMMER. NO ONE!!!

ok are there really people saying they vote hammer? yes hammers got talent in singing and dancing, but come the fuck on, you CANT compare ANY artist to michael jackson, hes the king, he was a legend before he died, mc hammer isnt even a legend, and i dont care if michael backed down from a dance off, he backed down because he didnt wanna make hammer look retarded, michael is the greatest dancer and artist that ever lived, thriller alone sold over 100 million copies, so shut the fuck up hammer

Anyone remember when Hammer challenged MJ to a dance off on the Arsenio Hall Show? MJ backed down and wouldn't answer the challenge. That would have been awesome back then. They were both at their prime and it could have been a big thing. Oh well. RIP MJ and stay off that crack Hammer.

the difference between the two is this.michael jackson used a chorographer and mc hammer does his own moves.also the moonwalk was first done in a old movie called a cabin in the sky michael did not invent it.

You shouldn't argue who is a better dancer. I like them both and they dance cool. Michael is the king of pop and although there are a lot of people, who trie to make his moves, nobody does it better. RIP Jacko! And M.C. Hammer has his moves too, moves that are unique and cool but cannot be compared with this of Jacko. They are both perfect dancers and that's it!

MC Hammer was a great dancer and had a few things about him that could have been patent and made him a rich man. However MJ had a spirit that moved him outside of choreography that you could see if you looked at the dancers around them.

When it comes to strictly dancing, I think Hammer has the edge over MJ..He appears to have more natural moves..MJ goes through alot of self practicing to master every move he makes and does it extremely well, but like I said..If the two were put on an impromtu dance off(no rehearsals or choreographs), Hammer's going to win...But when it comes to the overall package(dance, singing, creating, entertaining)..We all know who takes the crown there..MJ MJ MJ.

MC Hammer had many varied motions - MJ could do the moonwalk ( which was originated by someone else ) and all of his other moves were basically the same. Hammer, althhough bankrupt, was not a pedophile, either. Don't give me the ' never convicted ' garbage - MJ 'settled' and 'settled' = guilty! Just look at Hammer's video of 'Cant touch this.'

I don' t think that hammer cant dance but michael danced every day and you can see that in his moves. his moves were perfect and his dance is UNBREAKABLE. i will watch "can't touch this", but please watch a billie jean or dangerous live version.
