Both Country Joe and Syd Barrett are true psychedelic pioneers and it' s better not to make any comparisons between them! Anyway, "porpoise mouth" is a great track, thanks for lyrics and video!!!
Electric for Mind and Body came out WAY befor Pink Floyd's "Saucerful" or even "Piper" so I would say Syd saw or heard the MONTEREY POP 1967 Fish concert and was profoundly changed... IMHO...
Tune... never heard these before... just got recommended to me today. I love discovering music I haven't heard before. It sounds like something the Beatles forgot to write (in a good way).
great comment Y F Star, have you checked out "The Scarecrow" from Floyd´s 1st. album "...Piper...". a similar sounding song that Sid didn´t forget to write

Well, as Porpoise Mouth is a euphemism for the female pudenda, this might just be about sex (as one or two people have noticed).

Most wonderful bouncing sound and feeling - it helped me through hard times in the eighties.

Next to this, "Lucy in the Sky" sounds like "Mary Had a Little Lamb".

their songs always seemed to me to be in some kind of levitation.. they bobbed and floated past your ears.
