Look, Sammy was already a rock star when Gene Simmons produced Van Halen's first demo. When Sammy hooked up with Van Halen, it was a win deal for both. Besides, Sammy knew and knows A LOT more of the business end of music than Eddie or Alex ever imagined. Ask Alex.He knows they made more money in their pocket after Sammy joined the band, mainly because Sammy knows what he's doing. Eddie is a phenomenal musician (only a fool would attempt to argue that), but he is also like a spoiled little boy.

ok everyone - Eddie Van Halen is the best guitar player in the entire world. Having said that, socially, he is crazy as hell and a huge jerk. He is still a legend but only for his guitar playing. O.K., creative editing, ha ha.....Re/Hagar/EVH: Two great musicians who played together and had success with each other. Both were good before they met. EVH is mentally ill now. (kind of like Sheen, Osborne, Brian Wilson, etc.) I for one, thoroughly enjoyed Hagar's book. I loved hearing Sammy's take on the Van Halen saga. The book helped me to see what happened. I hope EVH gets himself together and is able to play once again.
