the game is very old, and is from 1998, so windows 7 isnt probaly not compatible with it, im suprised if it works on vista, i even got problems with it on xp

Game comes with a map editor too. You can make your own giant map with good feeder towns. That's what I did.

Ik neem aan dat jij aan het begin naar de knoppen gaat door geldgebrek. Kunnen een aantal dingen zijn die je niet goed doet. Koop bijvoorbeeld niet TE veel gereedschap in, zodra je een eigen mijn kunt bouwen, stop met inkopen. Zet je belasting op het maximale bedrag waarop je inwoners nog steeds "tevreden" zijn én bouw desnoods wat meer huisjes bij zodat je meer belasting ontvangt.

Voor een Arc de Triomf moet je idd een tegenstander verslaan. Op deze map heb ik ze idd allemaal vernietigd.

Hoe ver moet je gevordend zijn voor die arc de triompf?

En ik ben altijd bang dat ik gereedschaptekort heb dus ik koop meestal in tot 40 ton, maar dan zit ik meestal met het probleem dus dat ik 220 inkoopkosten moet betalen.

En dan duurt het eeuwig voordat ik van dat getal af ben...

en ik geef meestal te vaak de burgers hun zin waardoor ik in crisis raak :)

Heb maar één succesvolle stad gehad, dat is eentje waarbij je oorlogsschepen hebt die volgeladen zijn met goederen zoals ijzererts, drank... die stad had 300 inwoners en een belastinginkomsten van rond de 100 goudstukken. En nog 2 andere eilanden waarvan op een gereedschap werd gemaakt en schepen werden gebouwd. Op de andere drank! :)

Maar het kost zoveel tijd, die ik eigenlijk niet heb. =(

Met de AD uitbreiding zijn de eilanden groter en kun je veel langer doorbouwen.

Op de originele versie had ik met heel heel veel moeite de 10000-12.000 gehaald.

Toen was letterlijk elk vakje volgebouwt.

Doel nu: 30.000 aristocraten op 1 eiland.

Ben benieuwd of het uberhaupt past.

Ik heb eens op ieder eiland dat ik had vissers gezet (alleen weg maken via kade zodat je voor productie geen plaats verliest), ik heb op hoofdeiland 8000 inwoners (allemaal aristocraat), met een paar schepen laat je dan voedsel ophalen, ik had geen extra eilanden nodig vol met graanvelden etc. :p (dit was doorlopend spelen moeilijk).

ja inderdaad, tijdrovend is het zeker. Kben nu bzeig met "Het Continent". Kheb er alleen geen geduld voor, dus druk ik Ctrl + Alt + Shift + W. 2061 + Enter + A + Enter. kben te lui om op Tools te gaan wachten. Maarja, nogmaals, Indrukwekkend, zeker als je zonder cheats speelt!

Trouwens, zonder cheats is het zeker weten haalbaar wat jij gedaan hebt. Er zijn Maps die veel moeilijker zijn dan Grootheidswaanzin. Bijvoorbeeld de map "Het continent" is een aardig pittige. 5000 aristocraten en een saldo van 5000+. Maar erg indrukwekkend. Ik speel 1602 al een tijdje, maar grootheidswaanzin heb ik nooit geduld voor gehad.

Just keep expanding your city and colonize the islands you need. And if one of your enemies is standing in your way, just destroy him. It's indeed a long run, and you need to take your time. Good luck ;)

Ik heb een manier gevonden om te zorgen dat anno nooit meer crasht: in-game de muziek uitzetten (effecten kunnen aan), en de muziek gewoon simultaan in media player draaien! Blijkbaar is het een directX probleem met de geluidsdriver want hij crasht altijd op specifieke punten tijdens en na een gevecht als de game van muziek wisselt.

Savegames laden moet simpel zijn? Gewoon in het hoofdmenu selecteren.

Voor de mensen die problemen hebben met stabiliteit: Installeer de nieuwste patch end raai hem onder win98 compatibility.

Vaak veroorzaakt gevechtsmodus een crash, oplossing is hier om altijd op F5 (laagste snelheid) te spelen als je aan het vechten bent, en regelmatig op te slaan.

Ik heb hem gister zelf uitgespeeld na +/- 25 uur, laatste rush naar 10.000 inwoners op het tweede eiland was erg risky aangezien mn productie het niet aankon. Ik was te laat in het spel begonnen met veroveren van land waardoor ik geen schepen meer kon missen voor handelsroutes.

De echte uitdaging op deze map is het tactisch indelen van je productie-eilanden aangezien je maar 15 schepen hebt om alles te vervoeren.

Ik heb wel een paar ideetjes ja. Je zal denk ik een patch moeten downloaden of je compatibility-mode veranderen van je exe-bestandjes naar "Windows 2000" (althans, dat hielp bij mij, daarna nergens meer last van gehad). Maar je moet eigenlijk zelf ff googlen en het uitvogelen, want ik ken het probleem van jou niet precies.
