  • ZOMG they gave the tuba solo at the end to a saxophone?!?!?! Blasphemy!

  • I remember playing this a few years back. As a tuba player, I absolutely love this. A solo (and then a duet)!

  • This Suite is a classic...I think everybody plays it at some point in their band career. I still remember playing the "Greensleeves" solo in this section. It was one of my favorite moments from my band days. Nice job here, majestically played!

  • OMG, I remember playing this song in high school! I had forgotten! Wait...actually, no we played it in college.

  • Our band is playing this one tonight at our concert which is the last one for the seniors, so its going to be really good.

  • Kudos to the picc player.

  • hahaha i played this in middles school band. i t sounds cool when you fist listen to it and start to play it in the beggining. but after a whole semester it gets annoying for people who play the melody

  • Im actually in this band, I played with them last summer, no it's an alot solo, to clear that up, and yes this song is and always will be an amazing song to play.

  • Excellent job. The entire thing was well played. The Alto solo in the beginning was wonderful. All around great job. Best of luck on future performances.

  • My band is playing the entire Second Suite right now...I'm in love with it! I think that either 1 or 4 is my favorite...I'm not sure which one though.

I play bass trombone....so this song in particular I just sit in the back and keep making low growls...its so fun! hehe

  • oh, the trombone part at the greensleeves allusion is so perfect.. i play the baritone saxophone, which is fine and all (i have a great harmonic part there), but i'd so much rather play the trombone part. i figure i might just transpose a piece for it without my director's knowledge, and 'surprise' him. =]

    this piece is truly genious.

and did i hear a bari sax solo at the end?!

  • i remember doing this back in H.S.

  • I am a member of a Middle School band, we are actually performing three(Maybe four) of the movements, (March, Blacksmith, Song without Words(Ill love my love), well overall your performance was fantastic!

  • The Tuba could have been better, especially in the low ranges, but other than that, it was quite good.

  • Lol, our band is practicing this one now!

  • the symphonic band in my school's playing 2nd Suite this year... the euphonium solo in the first movement pwns... and i love hearing our euphonium play it^_^

  • I love this song....the baritone part is just beautiful to listen to

  • Good job. Seemed a tad bit under tempo, but still very good.

  • Great job! I'm in my school's symphonic band and we just got the music for the entire suite.

  • It's a really cool piece. I'm not the hugest fan of "Song of the blacksmith" though because they make us flutes rest to long and I'm anxious to play!

  • We played this entire suite in community band last year... great piece.

  • we played this song in concert band last year... the euphonium part pwns the one i did, lol.

  • lol, cool. I am the alto soloist in the very beginning. That was a great group to play in!

  • Hey Michael >_< I couldn't make all-state honor band this year.... again.... btw what are you planning on doing for this summer?

  • Wasn't that a tenor solo...
