the women that commet suicide was in room 501. i went to visit it today herd all kinds of cool stories from different employs and security gard david. it was very scary but amazing(:
i heard about this hotel, i wouldnt be suprised if it was haunted with the history but most of galveston is... its very sad, that so much bodies died without proper(named) graves and that was because they had no where else to put them so even some they let there bodies in the ocean or just left them.. i think that just sucks.
@Slye90 Thanks for watching and I do agree with you. It's very sad abot the tragic that took place from the 1900 storm that hit Galveston, then Ike claimed so many lives and your right about the bodies, some remains even months later were washed to shore(So Sad) For all those involved. Jenny
We need to arrange a group night over, and we all stay in room 505. Audre Faye Adams, the young 20 something girl, that committed suicide in 1954, wants to know why shes dead. She apparently either doesnt know, or, didn't expect to actually die! Most people believe she committed suicide in room 505, while others believe she was murdered and her death was covered up, like a consipiracy.
FAKE!!!!!!!!! 1.) Banging noise? that was a knock on the door or wall... 2.) dog bark? sounds like u had a window open and a dog was out side barking at something.... 3.) strange noise and breathing? my boyfriend just remade the same exact noise that u "captured"... 4.) the voise? sounds like a human whispering "go away"..... now if u had something like nick, zak, and aaron off ghost adventures have then maybe id believe this was real
@samanthaNicole1992 Don't know who Nick, Zak, and Aaron are, but I can tell you from direct experience I have had in this hotel, specificially room 505, the sounds you heard on this recording, are the exactly same sounds I experience several years prior to this woman making this video. By the way, I have no idea who this woman is, so there is no bias in my comments. If a person questions if room 505 is haunted, I eagerly invite them to spend the night, alone, in the room.
con't from pervious post...After checking out the Hotel on the internet we learned about Room 505 and other people's experiences in that room and how some ran out and never stayed the entire night. The entire floor seemed empty and I was furious and felt like we were put in that room "on purpose" by the Hotel. Will NEVER stay there again!!! Had we known the stories of the Hotel Galvez, we would not have booked that hotel. The staff were not friendly either!
cont. from previous post...after seeing the woman, I felt shivers running down my spine. The bathroom smelled of magnolia that would come and go. It wasn't any soaps or lotions. Later while watching t.v. the bathroom door opened very slowing and all the way open. All night, doors slammmed and the bathroom vent would get very cold then hot; so did the room. We never saw anyone in the halls except that odd couple and the entire floor seemed empty. When we arrived home I looked up the Hotel...
We stayed in the hotel last December, Room 505. We have never heard of any of stories. But as soon as we arrived in the room, I felt uneasy. Then we started hearing alot of noise like banging on pipes. I called to complain and ask for another room. The first couple of times I tried the phone it wouldn't work then all of a sudden it did. Then later we went down to look out a door from that floor and take pictures and then this woman came of of room 500 or 501 and gave me the creepiest stare
@sjloochan Room 505 is the haunted room. I have personally experienced the same feeling you did, and it is, very intense, and cause you to be incredibally uncomfertable.
@MarkThompson01 Mark, when did you work at Galvez? I don't recognize your name. Sorry, but I take a different view than you. Room 505, and the rest of the Galvez, are very haunted. Just because you personally didnt experience anything, does NOT mean the rest of us haven't. Sorry to burst your bubble.
@LFMtvChannel7 You are correct, room 505 is the room that is the most haunted. I have personally experience scary occurances in room 505. I refuse to spend the time in 505 alone LOL
we stayed in room 505 last week while on vacation..everything that ive seen that happened in this room to other people, happened to us too. it was very frightening, doors would slam shut all night..and something would bang on our door and wiggle the handle like it was trying to get in. when we would look down the hallway to see who was doing this, there wasnt anyone there. we would also hear children laughing late at night and breathing in our room.
The whole 5th floor is haunted. its rooms 500, 501, and 503. I worked there and heard a lot of stories about all 3 rooms. Also the music room, the ladies room next to it, and the kitchen is haunted. In 500 a lady committed suicide, there is a nun that goes through the 5th floor halls, a little boy that plays in the kitchen, and a man that we named oscar in the kitchen. I, as well as the others i worked with, all experienced things
Room 501 is the room that's supposedly haunted, not 500. Although, people have claimed to see ghosts all throughout the hotel. Right now, the entire 5th floor is closed for remodeling. We were just there two weeks ago - and actually took the "ghost" tour, even though the 5th floor is closed. We heard noises during our entire stay! Strangely, they sounded alot like jackhammers.
the strange sound and breathing part is actually not what you think it is. it says loud and clear, "Help Me." and actually the embodied voice is a lower tone but exact to that of the guy who haunts that room. I myself is considered to be a ghost hunter and it's a very disturbing career but amazing.
@badb0y1300 It wasn't room service, It was late at night and we left a do not disturb sign on the door when we would leave the room! Besides we never left the room for that long at a time, we would have seen them.
LOL, It's funny you mentioned that movie, Me ,my daughter and son said the hotel reminded us of that movie. This past october 18th we reserved the same room {500} and also room {505}, but when we went to check in they said both the rooms had water leaks and smelled of mildew and we couldn't have those rooms, What are the odd's?? We ended up in 400~405.
My husband and I stayed at the Galvez september 14th for our honeymoon and we explored the floors.. the 5th floor was insane. i felt a presence before i even got to the soda machine. also if you go up the stairs in the lobby the lights and everything are normal but when you get to the 5th floor the lights start flickering. . it was freaky. lol cant wait to go back
those were some good evps. but to be honest i dont think its one of the most haunted places in texas, i did find evidence of ghosts while i stayed there. but not enough to say its 100% haunted

Thanks for watching and commenting:) Yeah i agree it is a beautiful Hotel.I have already reserved 2 rooms there again.I really enjoyed seeing the Sun Rise...Simply breathtaking!!:)
do you not think the made went in to the room and made the sounds the dog could be eny were in the hotel and the voice can be made to sound like eny thing you wont if you mess with it enough .i do belive in ghosts but you have to answere all these qoustions and more to prove it especialy in a hotel that is being used still good luck
Jeremy was a young teenager who took his life in front of his english class at Richardson High School in Dallas Texas on jan. 8th 1991. pearl Jam wrote the song "Jeremy" about him. And i'm not to sure what happened in room 505~501. but the room i stayed in "500" was the room where a woman hung her~self in the restroom. Thanks for commenting!:)
Thanks for watching and commenting:) The Galvez is really a beautiful place to stay in. The price has gone up abit since i was there ...But i think it's worth it!! There are i noticed alot of different stories about *Room 505* I was wondering what have you heard about this room?....Jenny
well thats creppy..im certainly a believer..i encountered many "paranormal" things..so yea i think thats pretty creepy..and funny thing is i didnt know there was a hotel like that at galveston..i go there to see my uncle and i never heard of it..hehe
I see You live in Dallas:) have you ever went to visit Jeremy's grave at Restland Cemetery? Yeah The Hotel Galvez has as long as i can remember been known for it's "Hauntings" have you been to the Island since Hurricane Ike? I hope your Uncle made it through okay! Thanks for watching my vid's:)
I'm glad your Uncle was safe from the storm!!! It's Awful that Ike did so much Damage. I heard they still haven't found alot of missing people...So Sad!!
I've had alot of dealings with the Paranormal since i was very young. Started with living in "Haunted" houses. We'd move and the next would be Haunted as well. I begin having dreams that would come true(and still do) And i can sense when spirits are around. I guess looking for answers as to why and how people have these abilities kinda inspired me. The first actual EVP i've ever noticed i'd captured was at Jeremy's grave!
interesting, i know how living in a haunted house can be. I lived in one when i was younger. And whatever I heard scared me to death. I had a room to myself. And I always hid under the bed sheets, closing my eyes. I thought I went crazy.
Well your stories are quite interesting. I seen the one you captured on jeremy's grave. Kinda creepy eh, i guess when ppl say, its not nice to disturb the dead, they actually werent kidding.
I never went to Jeremy's grave expecting to capture anything. I was only going to video~Tape some footage of his grave for a good friend of mine and pay my respect to Jeremy!!. It wasn't my intention to disturb any~one. And if i did it wasn't purposely.
this hotel is very haunted i used to work there and me and my friends would not go anywhere by ourselves we always heard noises and saw things it was crzy and ever since i quit i havnt gone back so i belive thi video no qeustions asked
Thanks for watching and commenting!! You mentioned you seen thing's ...would you please share with me what you seen? And was it on the 5th floor by any chance? I stayed in room 500. Me My Daughter were told it was considered the "Haunted" room. I heard Audry Fay hung herself in the bathroom in room 500!!....Jenny
Me to. Thats why i had to go see for myself...:) I had no idea what i would pick up on the evp recorder(if anything) and was amazed to hear the sounds i captured!!!
Thanks for scaring the living **** out of me. This whole town is haunted as Hell on earth. We heard people partying and yelling above us when we were trying to sleep. Funny thing is, we were on the top floor. ****.
Wow love the galvez, its the grand dame of the seawall.Galveston is also full of history and mystery reminds me of New Orleans in alot of ways.Your video is very interesting Thank you.
WOW...I missed that, Thanks for pointing it out John. Sorry it took awhile to write back, we haven't had any electricity because we had a hurricane (IKE) hit us on 9/12 and it really messed things up! We just got our lights back today. We really got alot of damage in Houston but Galveston really suffered the most.(Very Sad) The gift shop in one of my video's is gone like alot of places there. Talk to ya later....Jenny
She clung to me, like I have never had another spirit cling ever before. After staying the night in room 505, the next morning, I remember feeling like I was leaving a loved one behind. The feeling stopped once I was off the property. To me, it was a love story gone horribly wrong for her. As I comb those halls, I could feel her so strongly, as if she was walking with me.
It is her inner beauty, love and strong emotions, that make that hotel as elegant as it is.
Thank you so much Globaloiltrader for sharing this information with me. I knew of some of the history but what you have shared is just amazing!!! When we were there we kept seeing a man on a 10 speed bicycle all hours of the day and night. We hardly slept when we were there and we would see this man ride up and down the street in front of the hotel all hours of the night. We thought it to be kinda strange!!
I was tempted to contact the office of Vital Statistics to verify her place of birth, but I never did. I suspect that she wasn't even from Texas. Another thing I found interesting is there are NO newspaper article on her death, which suggest to me, she was killed and a cover up occured. This could explain why her spirit is restless, and seeking answers. I can not express to you enough, how strong that vibe was, she wants so badly to know why!!!
As you know, this hotel has Turrets, which contains what used to be referred to as, "the widows walk". Everyday, Audre would climb up into the turrets to look out on the water for her fiances ship. But one day, she got word he died at sea, when his ship sank off the coast of southern Florida. Many believe that Audre was a high-dollar / upscale prostitute of her day. Which is consistent with the area and time in which this story took place according to articles I have read.
3. There is a little boy ghost which is said resides on the lobby floor, and doesnt appear to move about. There is no record of his existance.
4. On the 7th floor, it is believed by many that a mafia boss ghost lives and haunts the executive meeting room. He manifest's in the smell of strong cigars, which is common for alot of male spirits.
2. A little girl "poltergiest", around the ages of 7 to 9 yrs old has been seen by the security staff bouncing a ball on the first floor by the bathrooms. Once they speak to her, she vanishes before their eyes. Me and some friends were up on the 5th floor one night, when she decided to "push the door bar" of staircase "A", just loud enough for us to hear. I captured it on my digital recorder. We all heard it at the same time. A few minutes later, I felt as if someone was pushing on my stomach.
1. Audre Fay, the most commonly talked about ghost on the 5th floor, she seems to move about the hotel, mothering the children ghosts that roam the halls. She makes her presence known by the smell of strawberries and cold breezes.
Wow....I have stayed in Room 500 and 505, and captured the same exact sounds. Although I hear that room 500 is the actual room Audre Fay killed herself in 1954, by 'hanging", room 505 seems to be more active. It is believed that there are 5 residents spirits in this Hotel.
That is so cool!!! Were you in the room when you captured the sounds? We left our digital voice recorder going while we left the room and later discovered the strange sounds and the voice. How did you find out her name? Also i heard she hung herself at one of the top towers in the hotel. Where did you hear it was her room she had hung herself?
Yes, I did extensive research this location. A large amount of info came from the hotel General Manager and Conciere. This was done in early 2007. I am spellbound by this hotel. Theres something about it, that keeps me going back...hehe. I can still smell her aroma of strawberries..hehe. Yes, the lady's name was Audre Faye Adams, she died sometime in Dec 1954 from the bathroom rafters in Room 500. She hung herself with the bed sheet.
Thank you so much Jesseandmike for your comment. Yeah it was really unexpected when we heard them on our digital voice recorder:) But i must admit i found it kinda exciting!!...LOL If your ever in texas it would be an excellent place to stay!!:D
I stayed at the hotel galvez and got a wonderful pic of a lady that was not in the room at the time we took the pic.we did not even know the place was haunted until we showed the pic to the front desk.also that night in our room we heard strange noises we had stayed in one of the most haunted rooms 501 we did not even know til the next morning after telling the people what happened.we heard clicking and breathing sounds.we barley got sleep and did not stay another night we were so scared
That is amazing!!! I wish we could of gotten a pic of something:) At the time we reserved the room they told me that room (500) was the room they called the haunted room. We were informed that room 500 was the room that the lady stayed in that hung herself there in one of the towers.MMMM Since we're going back soon i'll be asking for room *501*!! Thanks alot for your comment:)
Thank you very much john for your kind comment!!:) Hopefully it will be very soon when i go back. The voice when i heard it, sound like it wasn't very nice to me also.
Cool! I have always wanted to stay there. Galvestion is SOOO haunted. I got an EVP the last time I ws there. My husband and I pulled over and the side of the road on east beach and I got one that sounded like an old black man saying "Whitey, we aint like that." There is also an OLD cemetary there and it is haunted too. I got a few out there as well.
Thanks spirithunting for commenting:) yeah i know about the graveyard..I've heard they have a moseleum that has treasure in it and at a certain time it will open and you have a matter of seconds to get in and get out. And if you get caught in there no telling how long befor it opens back up. I heard alot of people have went in and never came out. I want be one of those people!LOL
I went to HGalvez years ago, in my early 20s. I have took pix, we just tanned out front w/others, & I was just visiting, not a guest. I did not stay at the hotel (expensive?). - A few yrs later a co-workers daughter died in a Spring Break accident in one of the Galveston hotels. Not sure which one, but I'm researching now. She was sitting on a window and fell out. I went to her funeral.- So this is the 3rd vid J has linked to me that triggered memories, cool! Luv ya J & thx dontmessWiTXMOM!
Thanks C for your comment!!:)It's about 100.00 a night but not too bad cosidering how nice the rooms are. The Hotel is well worth the stay! Our room over looked the water. We didn't know we had even captured anything till the other night we decided to listen to the recorder and was startled to discover there was something there. Thanks to Jamie for helping me to listen and actually hear the evp's:) He's a sweetie:D
Your very welcome!!:) Yeah i thought so too.:) It's really Beautiful waking up and seeing the sun rise...Simply Breath taking, It looks as though the sun is rising right up out of the water. It first appears like a orange glow in the water then it turns red and begins to rise up from the water.Wonderful experience!!:) I'll see if i can find the recording & post it:)
Yeah, A woman was checked into room (500) and she was waiting for her husband to return from sea, She heard that his ship went down and he was suppose to of drowned. So she went up to the tower of the hotel and hung herself. After doing so her husband came back looking for her it turned out he was amoung the survivors. Tragic story!!
Yeah i agree:) When we go back i'm going to leave the camcorder and the digital voice recorder set up when we leave the room. For some reason it waited till we left the room to do something. we were in the room they call the haunted room!! Room (500)

i stayed in room 502 when me and my class went to a student council meeting at the galvez.
i actually too k the picture of bernardo de galvez without asking for his permission and had "strange" experiences in my room.
for instance, i heard loud breathing beside the bed and the feeling of being watched.
somehow the picture deleted itself from my camera, and i have several witnesses that i did take his picture.

n0emi18 3 years ago 2
Jeremy was a young teenager who took his life in front of his english class at Richardson High School in Dallas Texas on jan. 8th 1991. pearl Jam wrote the song "Jeremy" about him. And i'm not to sure what happened in room 505~501. but the room i stayed in "500" was the room where a woman hung her~self in the restroom. Thanks for commenting!:)
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago

JBfans62 3 years ago 3
Thanks for watching and commenting:) The Galvez is really a beautiful place to stay in. The price has gone up abit since i was there ...But i think it's worth it!! There are i noticed alot of different stories about *Room 505* I was wondering what have you heard about this room?....Jenny
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
well thats creppy..im certainly a believer..i encountered many "paranormal" things..so yea i think thats pretty creepy..and funny thing is i didnt know there was a hotel like that at galveston..i go there to see my uncle and i never heard of it..hehe
nicebadguy18 3 years ago 3
I see You live in Dallas:) have you ever went to visit Jeremy's grave at Restland Cemetery? Yeah The Hotel Galvez has as long as i can remember been known for it's "Hauntings" have you been to the Island since Hurricane Ike? I hope your Uncle made it through okay! Thanks for watching my vid's:)
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
yes..jeremy?
well my uncle came over(and his family)luckily he wasnt there when Ike hit...
nicebadguy18 3 years ago 4
I'm glad your Uncle was safe from the storm!!! It's Awful that Ike did so much Damage. I heard they still haven't found alot of missing people...So Sad!!
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
yea im glad..yea its very tragic...let me ask a question..how long have u been interested in the supernatural/paranormal? What influenced u?
nicebadguy18 3 years ago 3
I've had alot of dealings with the Paranormal since i was very young. Started with living in "Haunted" houses. We'd move and the next would be Haunted as well. I begin having dreams that would come true(and still do) And i can sense when spirits are around. I guess looking for answers as to why and how people have these abilities kinda inspired me. The first actual EVP i've ever noticed i'd captured was at Jeremy's grave!
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
interesting, i know how living in a haunted house can be. I lived in one when i was younger. And whatever I heard scared me to death. I had a room to myself. And I always hid under the bed sheets, closing my eyes. I thought I went crazy.
Well your stories are quite interesting. I seen the one you captured on jeremy's grave. Kinda creepy eh, i guess when ppl say, its not nice to disturb the dead, they actually werent kidding.
nicebadguy18 3 years ago
I never went to Jeremy's grave expecting to capture anything. I was only going to video~Tape some footage of his grave for a good friend of mine and pay my respect to Jeremy!!. It wasn't my intention to disturb any~one. And if i did it wasn't purposely.

DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
I can not believe this hotel is haunted.
Codyman1071 3 years ago 5
Me to. Thats why i had to go see for myself...:) I had no idea what i would pick up on the evp recorder(if anything) and was amazed to hear the sounds i captured!!!
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
Thanks for scaring the living **** out of me. This whole town is haunted as Hell on earth. We heard people partying and yelling above us when we were trying to sleep. Funny thing is, we were on the top floor. ****.

Nice catch. I found at 1:11 just after the noise I heard a low voice. I slowed it down and it sounds like "who that" or "do that".

It is her inner beauty, love and strong emotions, that make that hotel as elegant as it is.
globaloiltrader 3 years ago 5
Thank you so much Globaloiltrader for sharing this information with me. I knew of some of the history but what you have shared is just amazing!!! When we were there we kept seeing a man on a 10 speed bicycle all hours of the day and night. We hardly slept when we were there and we would see this man ride up and down the street in front of the hotel all hours of the night. We thought it to be kinda strange!!
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
I was tempted to contact the office of Vital Statistics to verify her place of birth, but I never did. I suspect that she wasn't even from Texas. Another thing I found interesting is there are NO newspaper article on her death, which suggest to me, she was killed and a cover up occured. This could explain why her spirit is restless, and seeking answers. I can not express to you enough, how strong that vibe was, she wants so badly to know why!!!
globaloiltrader 3 years ago 3

He manifest's in the smell of strong cigars, which is common for alot of male spirits.
globaloiltrader 3 years ago 3
A few minutes later, I felt as if someone was pushing on my stomach.
globaloiltrader 3 years ago 3
1. Audre Fay, the most commonly talked about ghost on the 5th floor, she seems to move about the hotel, mothering the children ghosts that roam the halls. She makes her presence known by the smell of strawberries and cold breezes.
globaloiltrader 3 years ago 3
Wow....I have stayed in Room 500 and 505, and captured the same exact sounds. Although I hear that room 500 is the actual room Audre Fay killed herself in 1954, by 'hanging", room 505 seems to be more active. It is believed that there are 5 residents spirits in this Hotel.
globaloiltrader 3 years ago 3
That is so cool!!! Were you in the room when you captured the sounds? We left our digital voice recorder going while we left the room and later discovered the strange sounds and the voice. How did you find out her name? Also i heard she hung herself at one of the top towers in the hotel. Where did you hear it was her room she had hung herself?
DontMessWitTexasMom 3 years ago
Yes, I did extensive research this location. A large amount of info came from the hotel General Manager and Conciere. This was done in early 2007. I am spellbound by this hotel. Theres something about it, that keeps me going back...hehe. I can still smell her aroma of strawberries..hehe. Yes, the lady's name was Audre Faye Adams, she died sometime in Dec 1954 from the bathroom rafters in Room 500. She hung herself with the bed sheet.

I stayed at the hotel galvez and got a wonderful pic of a lady that was not in the room at the time we took the pic.we did not even know the place was haunted until we showed the pic to the front desk.also that night in our room we heard strange noises we had stayed in one of the most haunted rooms 501 we did not even know til the next morning after telling the people what happened.we heard clicking and breathing sounds.we barley got sleep and did not stay another night we were so scared
ashleyandbranden1 3 years ago 5
That is amazing!!! I wish we could of gotten a pic of something:) At the time we reserved the room they told me that room (500) was the room they called the haunted room. We were informed that room 500 was the room that the lady stayed in that hung herself there in one of the towers.MMMM Since we're going back soon i'll be asking for room *501*!! Thanks alot for your comment:)

Thanks to Jamie for helping me to listen and actually hear the evp's:) He's a sweetie:D

angelinsatin 3 years ago 5
Yeah, A woman was checked into room (500) and she was waiting for her husband to return from sea, She heard that his ship went down and he was suppose to of drowned. So she went up to the tower of the hotel and hung herself. After doing so her husband came back looking for her it turned out he was amoung the survivors. Tragic story!!
