One of the documents released by Wikileaks exposed a child prostitution party consisting of little boys in Afghanistan, that was paid for with U.S. tax dollars, I wonder if Obama thinks this was breaking the law.
@338sniper1 so if the army started shooting unarmed citizens here , they should be able to keep that secret too ?? no Hitlerian actions no matter where they are done should be held up to the light
You are my hero. When my friends from Irak told me about dead bodies nearby place they lived, it did remind me my grandfather's story from 2nd World War. Thanks for your martyrdom: Hope it will change hearts.
Manning did NOT help end the war. Obama adhered to Bush's plan to pull out all troops by the end of Dec. 2011. This guy did a CRIMINAL act against this country.
right this guy did a criminal act by exposing war crimes ,and exposing your governments involvement in covering it up and all the other disgusting lies and corruption that goes along with creating and keeping your wars going , now its on to Iran ,, wow ,your moral compass needs a tune -up there buddy //
@EYEMHEMPSTER Sorry, but you need a reality check. Diplomacy is never straightforward and "open." It never has been and never will be. War is ugly and things happen, which should ensure that we don't ever go to war lightly. Unfortunately, we did.
@EYEMHEMPSTER Oh, and about the moral compass--when the occupiers want to hold WS execs accountable for breaking the law, but are fine when they themselves break the law, and support this guy who committed treason, gotta wonder where your morals are. The ends don't justify the means. The hypocrisy is amazing.
@SuperJazz4444 MY GOD MAN ARE YOU TRULY THAT OFF!!!!, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT MURDER , GENOCIDE AND TORTURE AND JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER FILTHY ROTTEN DISGUSTING ACT YOU CAN DREAM UP ,ACTED OUT ON CIVILIANS, CHILDREN AND WOMEN!!! AND THEN COVERED UP BY THE GOVERNMENT AND YOU WANT TO COMPARE THAT TO SOME PROTESTER,S CAMPING IN SOME BLOODY PARKS ,AND ACTUALLY DEMANDING SOME LAWFUL JUSTICE , TO SAY THIS CRAP NO HUMAN REALLY KNOWING THE TRUTH WOULD SAY SUCH UTTER IMMORAL DRIVIL ..
@EYEMHEMPSTER You must be really young and not understand what happens when there are wars. It's not good, but that is why I will say again that we should never go to war lightly. People make bad decisions when under constant fear of death. And, you are exaggerating but I'm not surprised--most of the occupiers exaggerate to try to push their agenda.
@SuperJazz4444 You do realize the meaning behind this, correct? It's that the government would've never said anything about it. They would have kept it a secret that they killed 20 people, because 2 of which had a phone and camera.
@PkmnTrainerJason001 Then for doing this, he gets 19 months in prison before the government even starts to ask if they should have a fair trial. by the way, 10 of those months were occupied in Solitary Confinement.
@PkmnTrainerJason001 The govt had no obligation to make the news public--that is the media's job. Don't exaggerate--it wasn't 20 people. The pilots thought the people on the ground had weapons (listen to their transcript). Again, this kind of bad stuff happens in war and as long as we stupidly go to war it will continue to happen. Still, Manning broke the law. The ends don't justify the means to me in this case. Even Reuters realizes this can happen to war journalists.
@SuperJazz4444 I wonder if you realize that we do in fact live in a "democracy" (It's able to be debated now-a-days) and what ever the government does such as kill a few likely terrorists who turned out to not be terrorists should have an official record that must be seeable by the people. That did not happen.
@PkmnTrainerJason001 You may want to realize the ugliness of war and that it is the systematic killing of others. War always kills innocents. Again, it is not right to go to war stupidly. A "democracy" does not mean the govt is an open-book. That is one opinion. The media are responsible for reporting on the govt. Keep in mind that the pilots thought these people had RPGs. War is kill or be killed. They had no idea they weren't RPGs.
@SuperJazz4444 I don't really care about the people dying, whether they had rpg's or phones doesn't really matter. I don't like the idea of a government who can accidentally kill people then not tell the people it governs that they did. Then when someone leaks the information that it did happen, they get a life-time sentence in jail, maybe even solitary confinement, treating m=him like he is the one who murdered the people.
@PkmnTrainerJason001 Question for you: Why aren't you more concerned about the 100s of thousands of innocent Iraqis that have been killed/maimed due to our war there and have been reported on many many times, and staring you in the face? Is it because it doesn't have the same allure as possibly catching the govt in a 'gotcha' moment?

First we're they're for 9/11, and then democracy for them, but democracy for them while shooting all your people up. It doesn't make any sense at all.
People ask why they hate us? It's war what are you suppose to do they say. As if they had to feel the brutality war.
