We never know how the next awakening will occur; We do not know how to defend the awakening until the awakening stands - until the disposition of the awakening is revealed to the living. For what do we prepare what-is!, just for a new generation to awaken to-face the values of that which what-is has become so far; not knowing, that which what-is will become.
Three minutes and 45 seconds before we get through the intro to the... intro? And five minutes before the song gets started? Clear that this was made in the 80's; it develops much too slowly to hold one's interest in 2010.
Love the song, though, and interesting to see PT give it some licks I'd not heard before.
@StretchPhotography This was never a stand alone song video, it is the first nine minutes of the 45 minute long film, titled "White City," that was made in 1985. Pete acted in the film, co-wrote the screenplay and all the music (a few songs co-written by Dave Gilmour). In the USA it was released on VHS. (Not sure if it was ever shown in any theaters). You can see the entire film in 5 parts here on YouTube.
Best Solo album by PT. I used to love playing this album on radio. I just pick out the best songs like Face the Face, Give Blood, White City Fighting, and many many more plus I would also throw in The Who.
I heard somewhere this is a sequel of sorts to Quadrophenia, can anyone tell me if this is true? I love this whole album, crashing by design is an amazing song
Amazing album that has inspired me for over two decades. Townsend is a genius and an amazing writer.

I usd to own this on VHS in the 80's and if it were available now on disk I would buy it again.

It is David Gilmour of Pink Floyd on guitar on 'White City Fighting'. What a great track, one of my favourite PT solo songs. 5 stars!
