  • I tabbed this great version out: goto bluemat.net (slash) banjo

Not the complete song, but you'll get the jist.

Thumbs up if you dig the tab

  • There are times when clawhammer-style banjo can reach my soul like no other instrument, and this rendition of Sandy River Belle was just sublime. Thanks for posting!

  • How delightful is it?

  • Outstanding. You really bring out the tone. I have an original with violin friction tuners. It would sound so much better with steel strings, but I am afraid to try them with the violin tuners. That tone ring is so sweet and balanced.

  • You just convinced me to buy one. Great sound and your usual great playing.

  • Beautiful tone..mellow and sweet. nice playing

  • Hurt's arrangements are always innovative, completely original, and so tasty.

  • What tuning is this? Double C? Cumberland Gap?

  • this is Sandy River Belle tuning--gEADE.

  • WOW! The banjo sounds great! it has a really Dobson sound, but the best the Adam's playing!!Hi is amazing!

  • can someone tell me the real name of this tune, I know it is not ed healey's rebel raid. thanks

  • it is W.H. Stepp's tune by the same name (though the Haley version is a great tune as well!)

  • outstanding!!!!!!!!! keep up the good work and the irish love you!

  • Good.

  • I love a lot "Insight"

  • Really nice.

  • The sounds great! Thanks for sharing that with us!

  • Ah, just another reminder of why Adam is the best clawhammer player in the world... *sigh*

  • @zeppmusic Ummm, you're no "slouch" yourself!!
