  • @pablo51874 Hi there dear friend, it sure is a beautiful song :))

  • Shum, it was an interesting show. My party and I managed to get close to the stage, and there were drunken frat-boys there. They'd wandered in to the wrong place (This was Liberty Lunch, in early '90s Austin.) Liz asked that they be taken away. They were, and the show began.

  • @narcoreflux1 Wow sounds like an amazing time u all had,

Thank goodness those drunks were removed, though I suspect

if they had heard the band they would have loved them to :)

  • So nice to read responses from wonderful, real people who do not use expletives to deride other music. Yes, Cocteau Twins are wonderful. Aaaahhhhhhh. Thank you all. Btw, I haven't heard them live in about 20 years, and that was in Austin, TX. I miss them.

  • @narcoreflux1 Hi there I always find it difficult to put into words

  • my southseasiren is ashore, but elizabeth is still my original. its the way

she plays with the sounds, like a child in a winter wonderland, that i love

best, but it was equally robin's musical arrangements that got me hooked

  • Years ago when youtube was just a couple of years old, I was reading Alistair McLean's Where Eagles Dare - great book - and one of the characters used to whistle 'Lorelei'. I searched for that Lorelei (Ella Fitzgerald) and found this too, and have been in love with it ever since. God bless youtube, and everyone in this great band!

  • @himanshuthegaur Hi there, great comments my friend, just love all

Cocteau Twins fans, they are such amazing people as to are the band :))

  • Cocteau Twins were all over the place in sound yet always unique, this perhaps was my favorite C.T. moment. This song is just perfect.

  • I remember hearing this on a black music radio station back in the states in 1985. only heard it once sandwiched between midnight star and jeffrey osborne. never heard it again.

  • I'm speechless. I think it was in' 84, and this came over the air on a local college radio station. You know how it looks when they get "beamed-up", on Star Trek? That's how my entire being felt. That may have been thee one and only time I've actually heard Lorelei , on the radio?!? Talk about "srtiking a chord"! This song desrves to be Worshiped.Bow to Lorelei, the Goddess!!!This song is and, at the time it came out, BEYOND cool, and will be FOREVER!Listening to this tune is RELIGOUS

  • @superorangeish 'I felt like how it looks to be beamed up'.

Nothing short of beautiful, my friend.

  • @superorangeish The last time I heard this awesome track on the radio was when radio 1 played decent music. It was the John Peel show in about 2004 I think and Robert Smith stood in for John Peel. He Played this track and it brought back a few fond memories ! Such an awesome song, Elizabeth Fraser's voice is just enchanting.

  • @alecamarin Hi there, good to hear from you my friend... :)

  • the visuals in this video are great

  • @mmm4ch1n3 Why thank you my friend, glad you enjoyed it..!! :)

  • Woke up in a Cocteau mood today. I think Treasure was probably their most unique album; for me, it stands alone out of their discography. AND I was so happy that the first page of comments didn't have any 'lyric transcriptions'. For fecks sake, I wish people would leave their divining skills for albums where Liz really WAS singing (mostly) in English. Treasure is perfect because it can only be experienced in moods, textures and colors: art that you can ascribe your own meaning to.

  • oops, sorry! Sometimes I edit things to the point that they disappear. I'll be back. And thank you for the compliment :)

  • @MunkeyPuzzled Hi there, you should have left ure comments, they were really good,

I agree with you, we all take our own personal thoughts and feelings from each of the

bands amazing songs, they and especially Liz left the door open for us to do just that :)

  • U of F (Fla) Fall 1984 - dAMN ~ GOOD!

  • everyone on this page is right. the album :treasure" is one of the best albums ever made. melodically speaking it's a masterpiece.

  • @860anthony Cheers my friend, Treasure sure is a masterpiece..!!! :)

  • Treasure - the entire album - is JUST PURE MUSICAL NIRVANA......everything about it just elevates the listener to another plane, another dimension, one filled with sheer orgiastic bliss......and you just don't ever want to come down from it. One fix of this record is never enough. One thousand fixes is never enough. Probably the greatest album of 1984 along with Ocean Rain by the Bunnymen......

  • @busterabcat So good to hear not only your love, but enthusiasm for their music,

it can be difficult to put into words the feelings their music conjures in us, but you
