I've got Dish and it's a big dish of stinking shit! What's worse is I have to eat this shit for the next yr. Every thunderstorm causes an outtage. Fuck Dish. Fuck their shitty service. Fuck their Indian support team.
(Continued) I canceled cable TV about a year ago and kept the high speed internet, and couldn't be happier. Sure you still gotta pay for the high speed, but I would rather pay $40 a month for high speed internet than paying $50-$120 a month for junky cable TV or satellite.
I live in northern Tucson, AZ, and we only get PBS, the station for the very young, or the very old there is no in between. We don't get the big 3, or the independant stations since we live "in the shadow" of Mt. Bigelow, am I crying like a banchie about it? no. Because I can get all of my news via the station's website, and can get all of my favorite programming by way of NetFlix, Hulu, and iTunes. Plus I have sports subs from the NFL and NASCAR to see and heat the action.
well, it's a good thing I'm still using analog TV at my own home in France. But while vacationing in California last summer, staying at my mom's home, I experienced the same things you did. Thank God I had a cam to record it and prove it. I posted a similar vid on my own channel with an identical title as yours. And I really fear the day I'm gonna have to give up analog once for all, for just like U.S. authorities, French authorities intend to delete permanently in future
i tried many antennas and found the best was my good old bowtie antenna, but only get local channels 30-40 miles away.internet says best is the bowtie type db4 db8 etc.i'll give it a try.can use inside or out.
I'm bummed; I can't receive ONE station tonight! I have an idea: Let's all go over to Facebook and join the Group called, 'Digital TV Sucks'. Maybe if we band together we'll get the attention of (???) FCC? Broadcasters Association? Advertisers? At least we can network and try to change this. I feel like we live in a so-called "Third World Country", don't you? I hope you don't mind... I'm gonna copy and paste this comment on more YouTube videos on this subject. Thanks for listening.
Im only 50 miles away from the towers and its raining now, complete loss of signal. In the day, its around 70%. So much for emergency service. Analog was more reliable. No contest.
I don't know why your having so much trouble , with the makeshift antenna I've got in my attic I'm pulling in stations off in the distance that I never could receive before . One of them was 81 miles away . Maybe the stations near you don't have their permanent digital transmitting antennas up yet since a lot of stations had to wait for their old analog antennas to taken down from the top of their towers .
so, i'm not the only one where the screen tiles out and signal drops out. again, how is this an improvement over analog???
