  • I fought with Toyota for 1.5 years on my 2010 Tundra over this. They finally gave in and bought the truck back because I was burning up warranty hours liek no other. I now have a F150, same highways, no bounce.

  • Gm layed off to many americans I won't buy that shit. If theres a little more shake put a nice set of tittys back there problem solved besides all trucks so that unloaded

  • Here's 28 seconds of my life I wish I could take back.... Lame video.

  • It doesn't matter where they're made, the profits go overseas to Japan!!!! That doesn't help our economy! And some off the cars from GM, Ford and Chrysler are made in Canada. The truck divisions were kept in the U.S. where we actually know how to build a quality truck unlike Toyota. They can build their "trucks" in the U.S. all they want, they're still going to be an awful product.

  • @Enormousbison My '06 Tacoma 4wd isn't an "awful product". I've had very few problems with it despite me thrashing it off-road. It's way better than the '06 Wrangler Unlimited I had before, which needed warranty work at 1,100 miles, 3,900 miles, and 12,000 miles.

Back to the subject of the video: despite a 3" lift with stiffer springs and 33" tires versus the stock 31" tires, my Tacoma doesn't ride like the truck in the video.

  • another reason why toyota blows...

  • I have discovered anyone can fix their 2007 Tundra TRD by wedging 1.375 inch or so rubber bushings between the bed and cab on each corner side of the truck.

  • My Chevy does the same BUT my Chevy is rated for 10,500lbs and I upgraded my rear leafs. The non Vortec Max Silverados and Sierras doesn't bounce like mine. I live in the Bay Area and sometimes I hate driving my truck so I use my fathers car lol.

  • not to rain on anyones parade but ford and chevy both produce vehicles in mexico and canada and its their trucks mainly .....tundra is made here ..............yes it has its faults not going to lie but i love my 2008 4x4 5.7 tundra it does what i bought it to do haul ass and take me fishing!!! and haul gear..... but don't get me wrong the chevy is a nice truck so is the ford cannot take it away from them but the tundra's engine is a force to reckoned with just my opinion don't eat me alive

  • @krjuice1

Not to eat you alive, but my F-150 was made in TN with 86% American Parts(along with almost ALL F-150's)! VERY high quality and stronger with its class' highest tow/cargo rating than anything out there at the time(and may still be!!). No wonder I LOVED my truck!

  • @SPprofchaos the trundra is made with the same amount of american parts.....and all of them are made in texas and kentuky..............just sayin......

  • I feel sorry for the poor suckers who bought one of these Toyota Tundras as a work truck. Poor Toyota boys :(

  • thats when you buy a real tuck. (ford, Chevy, dodge) it would help our economy as well. oh, and my choice is FORD!

  • Agreed, but with CHEVY! But hey, its brotherly love. haha

  • @Curtisexplorer

You DO know that Toyota is produced in America, right?

You ignorant, worthless piece of trash.

  • @Gnesao you DO know that only SOME of them are, and they are only assembled here. 87% of the profit goes back to the japan.

You non-American, ignorant, gay piece of "toyota"

  • @Curtisexplorer Help the economy?! hahahahaa

  • Does Anyone know if it's in all the trucks??I'm lookinf at buying a regular cab 4.7 as a work truck...That be bounce stuff is crayzy???

  • mine isnt that bad but it does bounce.

    01 tundra 4.7

  • I've had my 2007 reg cag 2wd. for 2 months now, the bed doesn't bounce with weight in the back, it's a work truck. The Bigger complaint, is the seats, they are too soft. My 2005 ram had a more corfortable driving position, and the seats were far better, my friend's 08 f-150 also has better seats.I Hope the truck will be as bullitproof as they say, i'g giving up alot off comfort for it. Maybe the Leathers are better..Dunno..The mileage is around 19 mpg. not as bad as people were saying ( 4.7 )

  • 4.7 only getting 19mpg isn't so great for a truck. Why should the GM 5.3 get 23mpg, yet yota's tundra v6 can't reach that. Also having worked on a couple tundra's, baby the rear axle. It will burn its fluid and flake metal like mad. If not taken care of, it will completely disintigrate.

  • Toyota's never get the mileage they post. They are off 20%. Iam selling the truck. Iam tired of the hard plastic interior, and my fittings, and fasteners bouncing off the shelves in the Truck cap and shelving unit. My previous dodge 2500 cummins was a better truck by far. However the Toyota is probably less likely to break down....

  • @2000boxter

They've always been WAY off, they don't have to follow the same testing procedures that US manufacturers do. It wasn't too long ago that Toyota was busted using 1970's testing methods to come up with higher ratings! Skeevy I say!

But of course that was back page news, OUR media was too busy crucifying our own with simple things like a strip of molding that may come off(DUH!) About time they Focus on a REAL problem like Toy's!

  • wow, what a fucking pathetic attempt to make a truck. and all it is, is simple highway driving. toyota fucking blows. i cant wait to see what all you fucking tundra fags have to say about this.

  • Well man just took me for ride in 2003 Ford

F350 that gets used hard. Pulling a large gooseneck trailer w/ 20,000# for most of its life. 455,000 miles and it just broke down. Guess what you Japan lovers-America makes good trucks too! Screw Japan GO USA

  • what the fuck are they doing about it??? does anybody know?? that shit is pissing me off....but what i notice is that all the vids of the bed vibrating, are in cali..

  • As far as I know they are not doing anything? The concrete freeways down here in CA are bad! But this truck is worse than any heavy duty/super duty truck that I have ever driven. I was expecting a much better ride for a somewhat "Luxury" 1/2 ton truck. Damm, I should have bought a Chevy!

  • Luxury? AAAAAAAAAAAAHA. You do all think alike. I'm sorry toyota sucked you in too.

  • @soulriderleo I have discovered anyone can fix their 2007 Tundra TRD by wedging 1.375 inch or so rubber bushings between the bed and cab on each corner side of the truck(maybe use airbag to seperate?). Even parts from a pool foam stick wedged in will help a lot. Let me know what you think and if it works for you.

  • @soulriderleo its not too late! get a CHEVY and drive a real truck before you bend that frame

  • Trade it off. It has no frame-hence the bounce. Since there is no horsepower at low tq, they lock up the tq converter. Since it gets hot they had to add another bandaid-a transmission cooler. Now if you live where its cold-another bandaid-a transmission heater! HA! Also check on returned trucks for burnt up transmissions. ALSO after 7th day of production, quit offering trailer tow package (now trailering equipment) cause P.O.S. has no frame. Don't believe me-ask the Toy boys

    GOUSA BUY AMERICAN

  • I like Toyota and was considering getting a Tundra, but that truck vibration is horrible. It's like the guy had an unbalanced tire.

  • Read from bottom post to top: They called some injuries "serious." Toyota had offered an extended warranty on the struts, but NHTSA said the offer did nothing to prevent mishaps. Separately, NHTSA said Toyota is replacing retractor components on third-row seat belts in about 90,000 Toyota Highlanders and Highlander Hybrids built for the 2008 model year because they may not hold
  • i dont care what they did to "improve it". all the other major companies, chevy, ford, dodge, and nissan got it right the first time. thats horrible and i would never own a truck like that. ive been in a jeep that has less bounce than that. tundras are pathetic.

  • Still, notices to owners scheduled to go out..next month will tell customers that their vehicles are being , recalled,' Toyota said in a letter to '. NHTSA. If gas-filled struts deteriorate, an opened liftgate may drop quickly about 10inches and then continue to close automatically, a NHTSAreport said, ' During the'inadvertent drop, the liftgate exerts "an extremely high force to an object or a person in its path," 'NHTSA investigators said in the report.
  • The agency and automaker collected more than 400 complaints involving 98reported injuries., Toyota maintains .that the strut"replacement is a "safety improvement campaign," not a safety recall as defined by federal law. ' Chris Tinto, vice president for technical and regulatory affairs at Toyota Motor North America Inc., said the company resisted the recall designation because the potential for injury is low, and most complaints were about bumps'and bruises.
  • WASHINGTON - Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A.Inc. is offering to replace the rear hatch struts on nearly 200,000 Toyota Sienna minivans because the struts may deteriorate and allow the Ilftgate to drop unexpected- 1y. , The affected vehicles have poweroperated hatches and were built for the 2004-06 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration had investigated complaints about the hatches since late 2006.
  • Here we go: From Automotive news: Toyota is replacing rear hatch struts on its 2004-06 Sienna minivans. Some

struts have failed, dropping the liftgate. A 2005 model is shown.

    Toyota recalls Siennas;'

    disputes safety issue',

This is minivan-but wanted to post for those TOY lovers out there!

  • Had a 04 Sienna with 0 issues in the 100,000 miles we put on it. Never had the power liftgate fail on us. We now have an 07 Sienna with 27,000 miles and love it even more.

Toyota is the best out there sorry..

  • please search "ford f150 vs chevy vs Toyota - bed bounce". This is not my video, just one I found that is a fair comparison of the frame rigidity of these three trucks. I think you'll find the answer to whether or not these Tundra owners have a legitimate gripe.

  • This is why commercial trucks can handle as much weight and torque. A rigid frame would never last. That's why some day you may see someone rolling with 106,500 gvw and 40 tons of it being load be in a slightly higher gear than they should have been in start from a dead stop and see the whole front of the truck roar up 3 feet and roar and twist and then settle down in the next gear and everything will be just fine. Because the frame can flex instead of just bending.

  • And if you have ever spent much time in the machine shop you know that the weakest point of steel is where it has been welded. The weld itself will be 3-4 times stronger than the steel, and where the steel has been heated and welded it will be slightly weaker than it will be in it's natural state. Thus an open channel riveted frame like that on commercial trucks will actually be stronger and last longer because it can flex under load and carry the load without breaking.

    Just my .02

  • Why do you think over the road trucks and medium duty trucks utilize riveted open channel frames versus solid welded boxed frames? Rigidity does not always equal strength. Often time it creates more places for stress fractures due to vibration to occur under load. riveted frames are actually stronger because even though a weld has a tensile strength greater than a hardened rivet, the metal does not.

  • Have you tried to see if it gets any better with the limited slip diff off? Seems to me like it is fighting itself on the pavement, does it do it on gravel roads? Btw to everyone who claims the Tundra has a weak frame because it has more flex then the ford frame, the tundra frame and truck will last twice as long because it does flex.

  • do u still have this truck or ever figure out what it was?? toyota thinks big hp and dimensions is what makes a truck. they obviously have no clue how to build one. all ive ever driven was ford chevy or dodge trucks of any age and none have had bed bounce/vibration problems.

  • i know, hell when i tow my 8000 lb boat my truck gets just a little bit bouncy when you go over a bump but it doesnt do that when im driving on a somewhat level road. and the only reason i think my truck does that is because its RIGHT on the towing limit and tounge weight for my 03 f-150

  • when you hit a bump pulling a loaded trailer, the natural momentum/recoil from the trailer hitting the bump is what causes the bounce. that is entirely different from the more violent shaking that this video shows. you would have to be driving over a washboard to get a domestic truck to shake like this video.

  • Not all trucks do this-smart ass. This fucker has no frame therefore jumps around Go to my plalt under Foreign SHIT and click on the frame test. Toy vs Ford F150.....

  • Idiot all trucks do this stupid ass

  • Maybe if you live on a farm JETHRO! Get off the internet and go back to shoveling cow manure.

  • and i thought these trucks were supposed to be soooooooo perfect.

  • Check your tire pressure - the rating on the tires are not the recommended running air pressure, they are the MAX TIRE pressure. Check the ID tag in the door jam for the Toyota recommended tire pressure.

  • I think there was a recall about the drive shaft, but I'm not sure. It caused a vibration. I will try and find the recall and pm it to you.

  • FACE the FACT! the truck of the YEAR STINK! that CAR MAKER should be name as TOYOTA IMITATOR of the year!lol! 1st looked like F-150,then look like dodge Ram! what's next? looke like Chevy.toyota will never be a COMPITITOR!they are there just to catch up and waiting what they are going to copy again & again FROM the 3 big leader of TRUCK. toyota need to spend their money to establish real hard their produck on commercial to make the people like them! TOYOTA with NO ORIGINALITIES ha ha ha lol!

  • Get it straight cristyangelbitch your just a bitch who don't know nothing about cars go home and baby sit and stop going to the libary to look up youtube vids okay lol. If toyota had this issue they'd fixed it lol what stupid company would do something like this and besides the tundra was suppose to be made to be smoother with the more weight not bumpier with more weight like other corporation

  • hmm! YOU GUYS SMELL THAT? SMELLED BULLSHIT!! Tmoua playing smart with US,to defensive about the "toyota imitator of the year" did you ever ask to your employer if they have an real engineer! it looks like your toyota are waiting for the 3 BIG leader of truck to copy what its new from them,so you people can copy! & before you tell me to check my spelling, check the spell of my user name before you click post comment okay! your toyota ! no ORIGINALITY

  • FAKE

  • Fake - Yeah, like I got nothing better to do than to create fake videos. Get real

  • My Z71 with cranked Torsion bars rides 10x smoother than that LOL

  • Which Tundra do you have and which wheels and tires do you have?

  • 07 Tundra Crew Max TRD check website for specs.

  • wow im suprised, look i understand that it good to buy american, but i have a tundra and mine does not do that, besides that though, we all love trucks, mud and off roading so why the hell are we all fighting over shit we feel the same about

  • c what happens when u get a tundra

  • same problem when my friend test drove a 2007 tacoma. 2 of them did that on the hightway at about 65 mph and the 3rd one didnt do that.

  • I know what the problem is, it a Toyota truck. Go buy ford, chevy or dodge I really don't know why you buy such a bad truck.

  • thats horrible man. i hope you get your money back or at least a new tundra, i have an 07 double cab, and it runs fine, i was thinkign about tradign mine in for an 07 crew max but after seeign this, i need to check up on the new tundras before i decide to trade mines in

  • Stock tires and wheels for the TRD model. The dealer even lowered the air pressure during the last service to see if would help. It did not! The bounce happens from about 45 mph on up. The dealer will not attempt any repairs since Toyota has not directed them.

  • I went to my arbitration hearing with plenty of proof but they denied my request for Toyota to buy back my truck. I'm really frustrated because the truck rides like crap!!

  • its a jap truck.. get a real truck!!!!

  • It may have parts made in japan, but it is assembled here in the USA, Texas to be exact. This truck will outlast any of the other big 3, and have a better resale. Isn't 381 hp at 5600 rpm, 401 lbs/ft of torque at 3600 rpm, 13 inch brakes, and 10,800 lbs towing capacity a "real truck?"

  • no, see the ford f250 has that, toyota just stuck that in a smaller truck to charge more, and to seem like there the best, you fucken retard

  • so what you are saying is toyota 1500 series is as good as ford 2500 series thanks now just wait plans are in motion to build toyota 2500 and 3500 series trucks along with huge turbo disels and dually's sorry but ford dont have a chance toyota grows every year ford and chevy are loosing investors and laying off tons of people toyota has not laid 1 employee off since 1952 and buy the way check the first letter on your vin # some fords are built in mexico by mexicans not americans like the tundra

  • Nice.
