2k9 had unfortunate circumstances surrounding it. Since KUSH closed, they moved the game to in house VC hence the game was dumped in the lap of VC in house halfway through development.

just three things for 2k to fix: GRAPHICS GRAPHICS GRAPHICS! every thing else on 2k is so good. the hitting is realistic (09 only has cross checks) and the audio on 2k makes ea's audio look worse than nhl 94. i guess they could improve the stick handling animation too. make the game look a bit smoother. ah what the heck, im gonna go play this game on the wii now. lol

the problem is that game has enormous potential but has such a great lack of polish, I think if the redo the visual and polish the AI it's soon gonna beat an arcade game like NHL09, cause NHL 2k8 was such a great game but so misunderstood...

Yeah.. 2k9, just feels more 'organic'! as in unscripted. I find w/ NHL 09, once u learn that there are a few certain ways to score, AND ONLY those ways, u end up trying for those all the time. BUT with 2K9, u can do whatever u want, and scoring is more fluid, creative and unscripted. Gameplay in 2K is generally more 'organic'. Too bad about the crummy graphics, tho'...

nice vid, goals are awesome, but the puck is way to magnetic, numbers are small, animation is horrible, grahpics are shit, all dekes are animated, way to less detailed, goalie equipment needs to be resized, everything's way to fainted, the jumbotron is just a box wiht a picture on it, the crowd is way to darkend out, AI is way to easy, the player can easily skate into the slot, 09 make sure's that the d protects the slot that will force the player to either take a shot or make a creative play.
