The song indeed is about Blair/Bush. The video is just a parody of two of their most famous videos from the 90's, Can you forgive her and Go West.

I wouldn't call the video a parody as such- it's certainly borrowing themes from earlier videos, but just mixing them together with style, character, a bit of artisitic flair and above all humour. It works brialliantly, too- this is actually a very good, artisitic (and underrated) music video -very few good music videos made at the moment- but this is brilliant.

The performers are perhaps in slight parody of the heavily over-choriographed videos at the moment.

The person "singing the song" (Ie the guy who is talking about "Being with Stupid, fly across the Ocean, just to let you get your way..) is Tony Blair.

It's also a more general song, about a relationship in which one party feels better/cleverer/angst with regard to their partner- questioning the nature of the relationship. "I often ask myself, as any love might..." Compare to the similar "Can you forgive her" in which the partner was dominant, rather than stupid.

Neil Tennant was a big supporter of the Labour party, but feel out with them over the overtly right wing direction they were going in (ID cards specifically- and of course the closeness to Bush.

These two are funny- in small doses. Little Britian , as a full series was too much, because they stretched jokes out farrrrrrrrr too much, to the extent that they were no longer funny. The "Wheelchair Andy" joke was good- once.
