  • EWW I HATE MASHED POTATOES

  • Lol this was the complete opposite of me as a kid I'd reach for a chunk of cucumber over a cookie any day!!!

  • @lovetexting What is the old saying....It is the exception that proves the rule. Congratulations to your family for good parenting.

  • Onions are certainly an "acquired" taste. There is evidence that they have been eaten by humans at least since the Bronze age....5000 years ago. The smell of cooking them isnt nearly as bad out doors. They do contain a lot of trace nutrients and being bulbs they are present at times of the year that other fresh foods might be rare or hard to get.

  • I really don't have a problem with greens, Just onions i can't stand. The smell the feel is so nasty and they are in EVERYTHING.

  • that is very good thinking RAW. the problem then becomes....what calorie rich food?

there are plenty of vegetable that contain lot of calories. Think sweet potatoes and other roots. There is also the issue of vitamins and other essential nutrients many of which we can only get from vegetables or yeasts. But I like how you think.

  • it is a natural a protective response, so maybe they shouldn't eat vegetables! They need to focus on calorie rich food

  • As you say...sweetness is relative. Carrots are certainly sweet but green vegetables generally are on the bitter side.

  • Vegetables are sweet... what are you talking about? Of course...I haven't had a soda or anything containing sugar in over ten years...

  • i think the problem is all these advertisements for candy and trix yogurt and cheetos, etc.. you dont see spongebob eating vegetables. also, their tastebuds are bland because of the artificial ingredients theve eaten, so they dont want to eat veggies.

  • @hopesolofan18

the interesting thing is that children have hated vegetables long before TV or any kind of advertising.

  • @wmeller how do you know that?

  • Since they weren't into doing scientific surveys of food preferences in children before the 20th century, we have to rely on literature. There are many references in popular literature and newspapers going back centuries about how difficult it is for parents to get their children to eat vegetables, when they had a choice.

  • @wmeller oh, i dont eat any junk food and im a teenager and i like vegetables. so i dont know

  • But did you like them as a child? Of course many children do, it has a lot to do with how they are raised.

  • @wmeller i honestly dont remember but im pretty sure i did but yeah i cant remember

  • I think SOME people need to learn how to cook veggies properly. And don't buy the bitter vegetables. Vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, and others have a naturally sweet flavor to them. And organic veggies taste better. I never had a problem with eating vegetables as a kid and I'm surprised that so many kids DO have a problem with it.

  • I think you should look at the camera. =)

  • I love Vegtables!!!

  • this guy is cool.

  • my wife agrees.

  • Interesting!
