I think the reason for the success of this game's soundtrack was the shear variety. Theres a lot of short, intricate songs like this one for certain scenes that stand out from the typical, action-packed music. It's the subtle difference that really counts. Man....anyone else high?

I remember when I was sick one week, I turned this song on since I have it on a mixed CD with the song on it (plus others) in order to kinda relax me to a point when I would go to sleep. This is a really peaceful song! I love it!
I think this song is absolutely brilliant and makes me forget about the small things that bother me and focus on the vast, complex and amazing nature of our universe. It can be scary to let go of certain set beliefs and accept that much of the universe is still vastly unknown, but the wonder and curiosity is also an incredible feeling.
Also, I think with all the controversy over violent video games, much of the true art that goes into them often goes unappreciated.

@ArcaneBunny Besides, yes I understand that this music is a source of inspiration. Saying something is more than it actually is (say for example "WoW isn't just a game, it's life!") is kind of sad, to be honest. I acknowledge the fact that the music can be inspirational to some people, me included. I'm a fan of the story-line, but I know that this is all set within the universe of a -video game-. There are other games with their own universes, story-lines and music. Halo is no exception.

@ArcaneBunny it sure feels like it with all the books, short movies, fan made machinima (red vs blue), along with the games. i've said it before, only the people who got it way back then, who really opened up to the first impression were willing to look into the game. i have to say i kind of feel offended with your comments. and i don't mean that as a joke. maybe that's why i keep commenting...huh. regardless, i'm done here. i've left my points, you just don't have that first impression i did.

@chaosrage5 I can tell you right now that when you get a telescope and look at all those beautiful stars, planets and galaxies when you listen to this song. Either you will say !WOW! or !BEAUTIFUL!. My telescope is made by the company Dobson. They make telescopes that are amazing and they are also cheap. I've also heard of a telescope company called Nexstar that is also very good. Buy a telescope at telescope shop. They know everything about telescopes. Bye now, take care:)
