@TruthAxe No offense man but, obviously you don't have any idea of what you're talking about.
Your conception of music is definitely so immature yet for using properly the terms "technique" and "feeling" in the same phrase.
Who's the engineer? I dunno, mate. But fortunately for US it wasn't YOU (...blaming a sound engineer's work by a YOUTUBE video?... there's WAY TOO MUCH for learning to you, my friend).
The ever amusing @SrBridges. In spite of your perception of me, recognizing that I am superior to you in all things, you do not flatter me.
Yet, look at you go, continuing to defend your idol, steeped in your idol worship, unwilling to step back and see reality for what it is -- the Soulless Cages -- a particularly bad performance by Sting and his supporting cast of musicians.
The continually amusing @SrBridges. My words act as the strings and you dance when I pull upon them, my little marionette. Mere words make you dance. Look at you go! Dance, my little marionette, dance!
@SrBridges Cuando hayas terminado de bailar mi pequeña marioneta, recortar los setos y barrer los pisos. Usted es un buen trabajador extranjero ilegal, mi pequeña marioneta.
@levike899 Nope. It's Mark Egan, who plays on Little Wing. But of course you should know that by reading the in-lay card from the CD you OWN, shouldn't you? :>
you're right he doesnt slap on that one, but you shouldnt make copyright issue from me thinking sting was the one who was slapping... whats wrong with you? I've just commented on one of my favourite artist's music, and all of a sudden you started to attack me...
@levike899 I don't know what you mean, besides Sting's bass tone is very different from the one on Little Wing, so even a casual listener could say that it's someone else's playing on that one.
@Arjozof you know bass players have different bass guitars with different tones, and its also depending on the song how you play it, and you can change the tone with different finger technic...and by the way I play on the bass as well. so fuck you, you snobbish asshole.
Who knows the studio version can understand the great work of rearrangement of harmony and rhythm, bringing the song in modern jazz / fusion context, as always, created by Capitan Sting, with the fantastic partnership of David Sancious on keys and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums! I saw 5 concerts of the Soul Cages Tour! I'm a musician, I play keys and I swear that every time the solos were differents! Great David,

This song absolutely friggin' rocks! I saw this show in New Orleans at the Lakefront Center and was so pumped when they played it. Only problem was that the idiot security guard kept trying to say (erroneously!) that we were in the wrong seats when Dominic Miller started into the guitar riff (at 4:24 on this video)! Bastard made me miss the part I was most looking forward to!
I someone can tab this...I would give thanks to him/her all my life

That's probably the only one example of Sting using a slap technique on his bass.Great job mister Sting.

This should be called performances from the Soulless Cages. There's no feeling here. It's too technical.
The sound mix is way bad. Am I listening to it through a coffee can? Who is the engineer here?

You amuse, @SrBridges. Again! You're so mentally deluded that you're offering up prescriptives to others instead of focusing on your own illness.

@TruthAxe ... WELL... at least i'm amusing, huh? ;)
WOAH! So now besides of being a "sound engineer" you're a "psychologist".... Gee... forget about the book, doc. You're the expert in here... :O

Many videos capture Sting at better moments.
