This game certainly did not have the fireworks that other GS finals have. Ivanovic somehow did not bring out the best of Maria, like how Maria would fight for points against Henin or Serena & lately against Clijsters or Wozniacki. The heat could be a factor too. However, let's not forget that these 2 beat outstanding players to get to this finals. Too bad only one could win!

Sharapova at 6ft.2" maintains a good posture. I can't stand tall people who stoops to lower their height. What's with the little baby steps that they both do while walking? These 2 women are a joy to watch, no animocity towards each other, just playing their game to win. Even the fist movements don't really show hostility. I love them both! I'm not a fan of Sharapova's, but if she wasnt on the WTA Tour, it would be quite dull.

And I don't think you can call anyone one on the WTA Tour the true #1 at the moment. That solidly belonged to Henin before she retired because, whether you liked her or not, she was a fantastic, naturally gifted player.
