  • I was there...a yank visiting the UK, who out of the blue showed up at the Knebworth fairgounds a few days early and got a job working backstage getting all the dressing room trailers in order...it was a time I remember the rest of my days...I stood just beneath the stage during the 10cc set...The Stones didn't didn't put on the best show at the end of a long day...Lynyrd Skynyrd' s set was the best of the event....

  • YES I WAS THERE TO THE GUY GOT UP JUST BEFORE THE STONES CAME ON THEY WERE 4 HRS LATER

  • The Stones were blown away by Skynyrd at Knebworth!!!

  • Awwwwwsome!!!

  • Forgot to say saw them last night i playing the beautiful theatre in the wood at Greshams to close the great Holt festival. Great gig still.

  • I was there too what a night. Does anyone remember the naked man showing the crowd the meaning of 10cc just before they came on?

  • i was there!

  • this was a really outstanding performance by 10CC. the band were not well received by the die hard stones fans, who had to wait a further two hours before the stones made it onto the stage. but the truth is 10CC were outstanding that night, I was close to the stage and they just blew me away. it is a sweet memory from a long hot summer many, many years ago

  • @galvinwasgod i heard Bette Midler also performed as a surprise guest and was great too..she did a tune w/ the stones, the one she did a recording of, i forget the name..

  • @galvinwasgod I agree with you, the stones delayed their entrance because 10CC were brilliant.

  • @galvinwasgod Keep the Faith

  • , j'ai toujours cru qu'il y avait un bassiste dans ce morceau mais non . etrange partie de guitare en tout cas

  • Yes we were there that sunny afternoon - Glorious day at Knebworth - 10cc came on stage as the sun really started beating down just after Todd Rundgren did a loveley set

  • Todd Rundgren's Utopia played this concert as well

  • 10cc is how much sperm men release

  • @pisces300 You've got half the story of the band's name correct. Look it up.

  • ADORO ESSA MUSICA.

    LEMBRANÇAS DE UMA ÉPOCA MARAVILHOSA.

    AMEEEEEEEEI.

  • So if it's live, how come the bass solo is played on guitar?

  • great

  • I was there the stones were great!!!! midnight rambler wow!!

  • Some great early live synth rock circa 1976.

  • i remember someone wanking on stage .......

  • @XjadeeyX yup - simulation I think -0 but too far away to really tell - it was apparently to keep us all entertained in the long delay in arrival on stage of 10CC -

I was not a fan but Lynryd Skynrd got the best sound and response of the day

  • Yeah, I was there too, Skynyrd were great, pity the stones were so late!

  • can so understand how difficult it must have being to sing this classic song live without the amazing backing tracks .I remember it fist time around ...brilliant then brilliant now .Thanks

  • amazing band,still sounds good

  • Thank you for posting. I was there. Beautiful summers day. Wonderful song and a great performance. This song made it onto the first CD I burnt for my kids in their Rock n Roll education.

  • I love Ten CC, special this song.... is fantastic!!!

  • amazing my song lool 10cc forever

  • I was there too......They told us that they had to use backing tracks to perform it live ....how honest .... just brilliant!

  • this brings back memories,,

  • Grazie davvero per questo video!

Io ero lì quel giorno, con Sandrone e Paolo Mario!

    Indimenticabile.

  • I was there. :) Thank you for posting this!

The highlight of the whole weekend was Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird solo, though. I will never forget that.

  • Thank you Annie!

  • Un excelente y clásico tema con atmósfera electrónica (¿alguien confirma si usaron Vocoder?) que describe los pensamientos de alguien que no acepta ya estar infectado con la fiebre del enamoramiento...

A classic and excellent track with electronic mood (does anyone confirm if they are playing Vocoder?) describing somebody's thoughts who doesn't accept is already infected with the fever of being in love..

  • This has to be the saddest song ever made in the history of music. I have always thought that since I first heard this song as a child in the 1970's. I actually can't listen to it because I get too depressed. Interesting how a song can do that to someone.

  • How true. I fell in love with someone that summer and to this day she has a hold on me. I can't let go of the feelings I had and still have for her. Is it obsession? or true love? to be able to last 35 years? I would leave all I have in a heartbeat for her. What should I do?

  • @TIREPRO111

Very true. Something about the song that makes the stomach rumble. You had to be alive at the time to have this effect - luckily I was. Better not say anymore or the wife will ask WTF I am talking about :)

  • @TIREPRO111 Forget her mate...she's a fifty odd year old minga now.

  • @TIREPRO111 Forget her mate...she's a fifty odd year old minga now.

  • I wen to this concert. Such a great band, such a happy day, such a wonderful memeory and so poignant.

    Best band in the world.

And I got to see Skynyrd and teh Stones too. Neither were as good as 10cc though.

Well perhaps Freebird came really close .

  • This song will never stop reminding me of the wonderful summer of 1975 and surprisingly the movie Jaws. Funny what the brain of a 10 year old kid will associate together.

  • You are right what a year, recuerdos TITO, CUACHO, MARITO Y PIOVEDIO 4 amigos inseparables. Desde Reynosa Tamaulipas we did everything.

  • wow, tnks 4 post, tnks 4 10 cc. was one of the the best romantic band!!!

  • This was sung with so much emotion on this video. So wonderful to hear live performances before they kind of changed it. The original version is one of the loveliest songs I've ever heard.

  • Wow. You can almost feel the undercurrents of resolve, the end coming near. Graham near 3:56 looking as though he's holding on to the moment- while Eric looks sad throughout the performance.

  • Where is this DVD available? I want it! I remember seeing a poster advertising this concert. I still dream about if 10cc would have toured with ELO in 1977-78.

  • I was there! They came on late, good memories

  • SO SAD TO THINK THAT THIS WAS PROBABLY THE LAST OUTING TOGETHER. ERIC NAILS THAT VOCAL SUPERBLY EVERY GIG. FIRST TIME I'VE EVER HEARD G+Cs B VOX ON THIS TRACK LIVE. JOY INDEED, TINGED WITH SADNESS.

  • This must be my 10 000 listening time to this song, but one of the most sad. Only to know that they were going to split up so soon after, and never do this kind of music again....

Anyone who knows what rank this song has got for "Best song ever"?

  • Yes it must have been a special moment in their lifes, maybe this was the last time they performed live together ?

    Fantastic footage!

  • Wow, this is seriously cool footage. The split was weeks away, and the four would never appear together again. Kevin and Lol were already well into the recording of Consequences at this stage. They actually performed a new song, Good Morning Judge in this set too, which ultimately would just be recorded by Eric and Graham.
