I am a city/community planner in the USA. This is an unbelievable undertaking. I came across this project on a suggestion from a colleague. It is unfortunate that previous comments challenge the vision and undertaking. This is artistic city design in the making. I will be checking in frequently to see progress.

At Phase 1 (four phases totallty, will be completed year 2025). Phase 1 will be fully developed year 2011.

at first when it started in 2005 the order as followed:

phase 1 : will be complete in 2007 and 50000 people will be living in the city.

Final phase : in 2014 & 1.5 million job.

what a big change! and we should ask:

what kind of strategy is this?

what we learn about saudi arabia after this?
