  • is it just me or does felix the cat kinda sound like towlie from south park

  • 2:25 if his mustache and hair were white he would look like Captain Crunch!

  • I guess Robbie Rotten's got nothing on the Professor!

  • when the octopus was squeezing felix felix sounded like mickey mouse

  • there classic good better then todays junk

  • why does this remind me of astroboy?

  • @Shades90 him and felix look kinda smiilar

  • Trans Lux Felix The cat cartoons are the ones I watched as a child, also.Thats probably why I like them.I never knew about earlier versions

  • Terrible or not, this stuff beats that inane tripe called Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go....

  • Yes, this cartoon really does suck shit through a straw

  • These are the Feix the cats I grew up on, but the silent Felix I prefer better.

  • Felix the cat is just KULT

  • The Trans Lux cartoons were actually produced by Paramount Pictures.

  • How did you know that

  • You can tell because of the Winston Sharples music.

  • PROFESSOR: "I'll get that magic bag, or my name isn't- that's funny, I know it as well as my own name!"

    XD

  • oh wow

the PROF calls felix the N-word at 6:30

    lol wow

  • >XD AHH Yes,he did,I think he said the N-word.lol

  • The word was used by alot of people on television all the way through the 70s. So it's not shocking to hear it on a 1950's kids cartoon.

  • errr, i think he actually says: "you bloomin' little blighter"

  • Well, I respect your opinion, and also appreciate your taking time to upload the cartoons here.

  • I like his voice better anyway!

  • Ah, Professor... the senility's kicked in I see.

  • Dear Tonywings, Actually?

The Trans-Lux "Felix The Cat"tv cartoons were

first seen on WNEW TV Ch.5 in NYC Monday-Saturday

evenings as far back as the winter of 1960.

  • i used watch felix at 6:30am on wpix, the new york city area, even though there were later variations of the character it just doesn't compare to the 60's cartoons. as for the ones cbs aired, it was different. i think the company that made that one was shooting for early black and white look but with color.

  • awesome!

  • awesome!

  • The significance of Felix the Cat for American television can't be ignored. For transmitter and camera tests in NYC during the 1930's & 1940's, ceramic Felix figurines were broadcast. His was among the first faces ever seen on TV.

  • Righty-O!

  • i luv felix the cat i like it so much than everything in history of the world <:^)

  • Thats dedication.

  • I think these Trans Lux cartoons were brilliant!

  • I don't.

  • "IT'S THE PROFESSOR!"

  • This series of Felix cartoons had a simplicity that was obviously aimed toward kids in its day, and a sweetness that still carries over today to those same kids as 50+ adults today. Also adored the Twisted Tales. Felix should be right up there with Mickey Mouse; for a number of years he was equally or more famous. Love ya, Felix!

  • Winston Sharples' Paramount cartoon music cues of the '50s [he owned them in partnership with Hal Seeger, who packaged them] were used a LOT in these "Felix" episodes- and he also composed the theme song!

  • Well,Captain no Kiddin 1959 -plays the greatest song of Felix the Cat!The Wonderful,Wonderful,Cat!Thanks Dr.Travisto!

  • To be honest, I actually like this series, despite the bad writing and low-budget animation.

  • I remember this cartoon a long time ago. It was originally taken from an old VHS tape from Media Home Entertainment features a compilation of Trans-Lux Felix the Cat cartoons from the early 60's.

  • ...I got it at a dollar store on DVD...

  • What company put out that dollar DVD?

  • Felix The Cat is now on dvd from Classic Media. All episodes are digitally restored.

  • I liked this version. It was funny.

  • I think the best part is the memorable intro, but... This cartoon made me ignore the Twisted Tales back in the 90's, so *beep* Trans Lux
