It's a shame. These guys (waylon, hank, kris, johnny...etc.) they LIVED the music they sang about. They went out and got drunk...then couldn't make their concerts due to a hangover or such....people got mad at them but respected them more because they're HUMAN. Now days, a singer does that, they crucify him/her. Back then it was about love of music...today it seems like it's about love of money.
A few months back I had a plumber come to repair a toilet at my house. He went to the bathroom and said Waylon jennings used to clog this toilet up. No joke he lived in the house I reside in right now. The plumber shared some stories about Waylon and said he was great to hang out with.

It's a shame. These guys (waylon, hank, kris, johnny...etc.) they LIVED the music they sang about. They went out and got drunk...then couldn't make their concerts due to a hangover or such....people got mad at them but respected them more because they're HUMAN. Now days, a singer does that, they crucify him/her. Back then it was about love of music...today it seems like it's about love of money.

A few months back I had a plumber come to repair a toilet at my house. He went to the bathroom and said Waylon jennings used to clog this toilet up. No joke he lived in the house I reside in right now. The plumber shared some stories about Waylon and said he was great to hang out with.

Truely one of the greatest ever. I like to think that music is a continium. It is hard to imagine but the Eagles had had a lot of what we think is Country music today in their sounds. Before them was the folk music that I love. It cannot be unconnected. Now where that Rap crap came from is beyond me.

I meet Waylon in 1973 when he was playing the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. He was married to Jessie by then and he was one hellva nice man. Much different from the Waylon I had met in Washington DC a few before that!! Sure to miss his real country singing.

Well cork, Willie and Hank are still singing, and there are some of them good ole boys left. Toby is one of 'em, if you'll notice he broke off from his label and created his own. He plays his music, the way he wants to play it, he says whatever he wants to say, and wears whatever he wants to wear. You might oughta look at Jason Aldean, Zac Brown, Randy Houser, and Eric Church as well. Not all of 'em are Nashville sale outs. Keep your chin up.

You know why Ol' Hoss gave that guitar to Reggie? It was on Willie Nelson's 60th birthday. After a concert called.. I think it was The Big Six-O, Waylon called Reggie to come to his Nashville home and when he arrived, Waylon said to Reggie "I have a guitar to give you", and Waylon went to another room and came back with that guitar, and Reggie was like "'Wow! Waylon do you know what this is?" and Waylon said it's too heavy for him and he wanted to give it to someone who can play it. End of story
