yo, i downloaded it from the site you linked, and when i try running it, it has the same "lol, limewire" loading picture, only it still comes up with the same "limewire wont work now blah, blah blah..." message after it is completed loading. I noticed it also put the limewire pirate edition and the limewire 5.6.2 desktop shortcuts up. Am I doing something wrong?

@TheWMayberry Yes they will randomize between booting each other. Sometimes it will boot limewire, and other times it will boot the pirated version. Completely uninstall the Normal limewire to fix this problem

Most people don't read the terms of use but it says not to be used to obtain material that is has a copyright. When you accept the terms you are accepting responsibility of any criminal liabilities that you may perform with such a program.

the google trick is cool you just type a string in the search box with the song and artist and boom

i assume you could use the same trick for video or photos too just replace .mp3 with.avi,.mkv,jpg,gif,bmp,etc.­. or whatever you get the idea,just type "downloading music using google"in the youtube search box and you will find a few good tutorials on how to do it

cool thanks for the tip im not really a fan of torrents for music either as in not always looking for full albums,

so i assume you know that frostwire uses the same servers as limewire,called the gnutella network right?limewire and frostwire are both just gnutella clients

and i assume this is no different,but hopefully less viruses than frostwire

Limewire sucks ass, and always has... In Linux Ubuntu, and Linux Mint we use Transmission it's free , and open source. With open source you can look at the code so there is no way to hide viruses in it. Every Windows computer I've ever fix viruses on had Limewire on them. As you know on Linux PC's there are almost no viruses , we have less than Mac.

Sorry to hear you had issues, I never had any problems myself when installing it for a friend.

Make sure you download it from the official site, and not a spoof site as there are many of those.

LPE is getting so much heat from the RIAA, I wouldn't touch it myself. NG's or Google is all you really need.
