  • Wonderful. Sheera is an awesome dish. I enjoy having it at good udipi restaurants, where they make it in the mornings. But one can have delicious sheera made at home too.:)

  • I like the way in which both of you share and show us simple recipes. I am an Indian, residing in Botswana. I watch your recipes every now and then. Thank you for sharing information and exhibiting your talent.

  • once i made this shira after watching this video I called my mom(3am her time and 4000 miles away) to tell her that I can make better shira than her. Thanks Ladies.

  • I really love this recipe. My neighbor is from Iraq and she's made this dish a number of times for me. What I like about it the most is that it isn't too sweet. A recipe I simply must try from my channel.

  • stupid

  • u shud put ur dishes in a plate and show off wat u made, great job also instead of water use milk tastes much better

  • Very nice presentation lol xx thanks for sharing

  • I like very much the way you presented the HALVA recipe. In Greece we make halva almost the same way you do using similar ingredients. You can try the greek halva (watch?v=3dWlSHvYPbY).

I 'll try making Suji Halwa. George.

  • Halwa is actually an adopted foreign dish of India. it was brought to the sub-continent probably by the Moguls who would have brought it over from the Turk regions. This dish can be found in Turkish/ Mediterranean and Arab/Persian regions.

It is somewhat more native to Greece than it is to India due to demographics (being closer to Turkey), but it is very very popular and now common in India and has many varieties adapted to Indian styles and ingredients.

  • Thank you for the information on the origin of "HALVA".

  • "murphy's law, it's just going to burn" lol cute

  • Oh please Venus you might be a chef but there is no reason to ridicule anyone just bcos you are good at it. My thumbs up to Show me the curry staff and hosts for making this excellent effort for people who dont have access to recipe books and are away from India. You are a great help keep up the good work. No one is perfect and dont bother about nasty comments
