it is possible because even thogh the Merc was behind it was acelerating faster and pulling on the audi, so technically you can finish last and still have a hight top speed. Its simple physics.

That is a posibility as well, but the whole speed being higher and coming in last thing happens a lot. Im not sure if the speeds were swaped because then the merc would have fallen way behind and had a much wose time. If youve taken any kind of an engineering of mechanics dynamics course then is should be easy to understand how it can happen.

The 911 got a tiptronic. These automatic transmissions from the 964 to the 997 Carrera S are rubbish. They are over a second slower than the manual ones. And they are for fat, unathletic retirees. A 911 with a manual gearbox and a good driver would beat them. Besides that the 335 is a great car. Fans should take a look on the new Alpina B3. The engine is similar to the 335 but much more agressiv and powerful.
