hey ocaur! im 11 years old and im in shotokan karate im a purple belt XD. I really liked your kata, can u check out my version and tell me wat u think? its on my channel XD
I don't speak spanish, but as far as I was able to understand description, this should be Shury-Te version of Tekki Shodan. Am I right? It's identical to Shotokan version... or should I say Shotokan is identical to this, because this is the older version. Anyway, very good execution. Respect!
Mr. PanicusVulgaris, It is not because of the Spaniard who we will not understand, also I do not say Spaniard. But, its understanding of what it was written by me, was very good. I strengthen myself to write in English. You are correct how much its description, good comment. This version is of jka that trainings much time. I am happy for its excellent participation, you is certain. We thank its visit. It always comes back, will be very welcome.
Yes, Mr. humbleboxer1, this series of kata is very good, practises with a certain frequency, movements are hard and strong. The creativity of the man does not have limits as much that is series evolved for what we see today. Old, nominated for Yasutsune Itosu de Naifanti, and if it became known for Professor Gichin Funakoshi de Tekki. It has reason in finding that tekki is a treasure. We thank its commentary. It always comes back. Osu!
Mr. blackjacos, good verification. Detailed comment. Sample experience. Respect its experienced form to think. We thank its visit. It always comes back!
Mr. DonaldB163, any thing that is seemed, is part of the family, does not import as it is being fact, the important one is that he is correct with the taught standard. been thankful for the contact.
Yes you are correct with your naming of this kata. I studied under an off shoot of Seibukan Karate-Do called the Zentokukai. Naihanchi was the name for this kata with us as well. As ocaur has mentioned it's all part of the same family. It's a lovely, powerful kata in it's own right.
Naihanchi in Chinese, Tekki in Japanese, and imported as Tul-ki to Korean Tang Soo Do. Ultimately for Taekwon-Do, a single pattern called Po-Eun was extracted from the Tekki series.
this kata is originaly called naihanchi, its an okinawan kata. a man named Genchin Funickochy brought this kata to japan and called it tekki. there are only a few differences between the japanese and the okinawan version they both are good
Mr. blackjacos, its commentary is verdairo, therefore, we have much respect for the old masters, without them we would not be what we are today. If it had changes in the kata, some logic in history had. The excellent one is that we have that to always train with the truth being true with us exactly. We thank its participation and always comes back.
sim, azato5, vc tem razão, o poder deste kata está na base, nos quadris... completando, no espírito de quem executa também. Obrigado pelo seu comentário. Oss!
Looks like Shotokan Karate to me. Very powerful kata. Watched me dad do that one loads of times. And he always says "It's all about fighting on a ledge." Looks good mate.

E' DAVVERO UN CASINO IMPARARLO A FARE DALL'ALTRO LATO... ma tutte queste mosse sono tutte molto efficaci quando sei corpo a corpo!!!

@PanicusVulgaris This is not spanish man... It's portuguese.

@PanicusVulgaris This IS the Shotokan version. Funakoshi sensei renamed the Tekki kata from the Shuri-te Naihanchi kata.
MrNickjannini 1 year ago
@PanicusVulgaris The origin of Tekki shodan is Naihanchi shodan and they are not the same. The execution above is standard JKA.
