To mrruffledfeathers - I suffer from mental health and suicide issues and most of the time all I want to do is disappear from the world into a pile of dust, so this example is actually pretty spot on and no wtf about it.
@SuperNicky25 NO, its called stereotyping! Those were all ways people think that someone with a mental illness will act! If someone has a mental illness people consider them pshyco! Thats a stereotype, but people with mental health issues (Like me) ARNT ALL LOONS!!
@Mrscientificmethod It is brilliant! It only shows how idiots out there think of people with mental illness. We are not suddenly going to go bonkers if you talk to us. We actually appreciate it when people are decent enough to ask how we are doing.
Absolutely brilliant. Having suffered with a mental health problem this is pitched just right, especially at the end when he says he has his good days and bad days.
@MrMonkeytrumpets I know what you mean, I have been off work before due to stress levels affecting my mental health as well and this advert hits the nail on the head, the thing is it's very hard to describe what it's like to go though something like this unless you have experienced it....that being said in this day and age it is becoming far more common and you don't often realise until someone else points it out to you
This is an excellent ad, but I must admit to laughing like an idiot and then feeling very bad the first time I saw it - due to flicking TV channels and missing the intro....
You'd have to be mental to not find this funny

Am I the only one to find this advert disconcerting? It actually reinforces the stigma of all those crazy nutters out there. It should be banned.

BTW, I was not being sarcastic. I am serious, humor is the way to go to beat stigma.

Along with the talk to frank pablo drug mule advert this is one of my favorite adverts of all time.
Think they did a great job :D

We discussed this advert at our MIND today with mixed opinions. But watching it here on You Tube. It is more understandable than just the TV advert.
Glad it's got people talking about Mental Health issues. "Hang on my shoe's ringing"
It was only my Solemate calling me.
It's a fab advert. But I don't think the slot during Corronation Street was a good slot for it.
I do hope anyone watching this who needs help will seek it. At MIND there are people who will listen & not judge.
