Yes because the A300 does not have winglets and the nose and fuselage shape are slightly different. I don't think Cyprus Airways ever operated the A300. The A310, yes, but not the A300. So I am pretty sure this is an A330-200.

Why is there an olympic a340?

Despite the distance, if Olympic can fill up a A340 on ATH->LHR route they will send a A340, Olympic send one A340 and two B737 daily on that route.

KLM run an early morning flight from amsterdam with either an A330 or 767. There are alot of commuters that come to UK on buisness for a day, so they all fly in on one flight. Saves money
