  • Top 10 1 Because 2 Fixing A Hole 3 Hey Jude 4 I'm Only Sleeping 5 Let It Be 6 Maxwell's Silver Hammer 7 You Never Give Me Your Money 8 Eleanor Rigby 9 For No One 10 And Your Bird Can Sing
  • my top 10 : 1. a day in the life 2. fixing a hole 3.sgt pepper’s lonely hearts club band/with a little help from my friends 4. come together 5. i am the walrus 6. the fool on the hill 7. here comes the sun 8. because 9. get back 10. one after 909
  • of course the most under rated beatle song isn’t on the list ‘fixing a hole’ one of paul’s most complex songs in my opinion at least lyrically but his bass play in that song is amazing and his lyrics so deep and was different then we were used to of him shame i would have placed it at least in the top 15 i agree with a day in the life beeing number though such a masterpiece

  • If making a 100 greatest songs list it is not enough to include all the great songs of a single musical group.

That tells you, right there, how great this group is.

    Beatles Forever

  • Did I miss "She's Leaving Home"???, When I'm Sixty-four??? Are they in the list??? Come on now!

  • What were the 2 songs being played?

  • @3231995 a day in the life and come and get it

  • Cool video but they forgot michelle and fixing a hole ones of my favorites,my favorite beatle song its because i love the guitar

  • lovely rita, wild honey pie, michelle, run for ur life, when i'm 64, yellow submarine???

AND THE HELL WHERE IS "I ME MINE" ???????????

  • #51

*John*- "What's that Paul, you've just seen a face?,down by the old river?, okay boys to the beatlesmobile!" *da na nana nana nana na*

  • Dear prudence, back in the USSR, helter skelter & if I needed someone should be way higher.. and where is "I'm looking through you"?...

  • Dear Prudence at 63? And Girl at 62??? Yeah right!!

  • Thanks so very much for this superb video. We are so privileged to be able to listen to the Beatles' masterpieces! Their collective musical genius was/is on loan from God. Thanks again!

  • i like the image chosen for #95. it comesmfrom one of the beatles many movies and my second favrote HELP!

  • where is OCTOPUS GARDEN ?? my favorite beatles song

  • Yes It is is so amazing.

  • "A Day in The Life" isn't a song ... is a Masterpiece

  • @Cokain3 SO TRUUE!

  • The beauty of this (Top-100) is that you can actually create another TWO sets of 100!

How many groups even HAVE 100 songs?

  • @myrtlebox How about the Stones?

  • GREAT VIDEO!! I love this issue of Rolling Stone!!

  • @mpgcristo1994 Is he a Beatle song? I think not...

  • @mpgcristo1994 FUCK YOU

  • @mpgcristo1994 Palm

    to

    face

  • and what for "im fixing a hole" there are many song missing

  • You know that you've written a truckload of songs if you can narrow it down to "a 100 best".

  • Revolution 9 should've been number 1 lol

  • cry baby cry?

  • savoy truffle should have been ther great song old brown shoe should have been ther

  • @Tannequa92 Savoy Truffle is a great song, and Piggies also (to mention 2 of the white album).

  • All my loving should be higher than 44, same with for no one, i should have known better, penny lane, youre gonna lose that girl, if i fell, here, there, and everywhere......those are in my top 10......a day in the life EXTREMELY overrated, i love the song, but still, george martin may think its an orchestral orgasm, but i dont......and i like that you put "Come and Get It" as a background song...nice touch

  • @TheBeatlesJPGR53 BACKGROUND MUSIC A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • michelle not on there, and long, long, long it?!?! WTF, and most of the songs in the bottom of the list are some of my favorite songs, again WTF ?!?!?!?!

  • Good but why is fool on the hill always so underrated? I freaking love that song!!!

  • I know he didn't write many songs, but a Ringo-written song should of been on this list. At the very least, Octopus's garden should have.

  • It bothers me how in the magazine they put it 1 to 100 instead of going backwards. It takes all of the intenseness! New rule: if you ever see, "Top 100" anything on a Rolling Stone, read it backwards.

  • @raintalonwindclan Yes, it really bothered me too... that's why I made the video from 100 to 1 :)

  • i want to hold your hand #2 WTH..noooo way that should be like 90 something

  • @MJRiley878 im with you on that one, i dont fancy that song too much....

  • Yes!!! A Day in The Life! Finallyyyyy it isn't Hey Jude!

  • @itsbridgetlogann i dont know what lists youre looking at, but ive always seen a day in the life or strawberry fields forever at #1.....and also, a day in the life is always battling with Led Zeppelins stairway to heaven as #1 song of all-time, personally, i think both are overrated, but thats just me...

  • I am watching the Commitment while watching this video, and the character, (who ever he is) started singing All You Need Is Love. Coincidence?

  • Rolling Stone magazine it's jewish cobblestone promotes jewish artists pseudo types bob dylan, cohen, etc.

  • (h)

  • where is.... IV JUST SEEN A FACE????? lovely rita!?

  • WHERE IS TWIST AND SHOUT?????

    WHERE IS MICHELLE?????

    HEY JUDE N° 7???

    TAXMAN N° 55???

    HELP N° 15???

ROLLING STONE HAVE A LOT OF MISTAKES EVERY TIME THAT MAKE A LIST

  • @angelobuho Twist and Shout isn't a Beatles song it's a cover (way better than the original I must say) but still a cover, this list is composed of exclusively Beatles written and performed songs.

  • also i love how the video opens with a spoiler

  • I don't at all agree with this list. Song order is completely off.

  • 0:33 Thumbs up if Sexy Sadie is the best song for you

  • Yay my fave song is #1!

  • number 1 Beatleesssss.

  • I 100% agree that a day in the life should be number 1

  • Biggest misses : I Don't Want To Spoil The Party, You Won't See Me, I'm Looking Through You, Fixing A Hole, Lovely Rita, The Fool On The Hill, Cry Baby Cry, I Me Mine.

Worst decisions : Yello Sumbarine at #74 (should've been droped out) and the so-called "Abbey Road Medley" at #23 (if they took the whole songs and put them into one thing, that should've been in top 5 definetly; Abbey Road's medley is one of music's greatest achievements ever by anyone).

  • across the universe is beeter then a day in the life easssssssssssssy

  • How does the Abbey Road Medley count?!

  • WTF can't make repetive hearts:(

  • @zhart217 here, I'll do it for you ;) <33333

  • -33333

  • my heart just broke y is Oh! Darling 67??!! YEs it Is 99? Lady Madonna 86? Shes leaving home 82? ill stop ther but i mean i love the songs tht were less popular but ugh tht makes me sad :( but for no one got 40 so i guess thts ok but how did please please me beat it im srry ill stop ther but i do like the second song played :D i still think its impossible to rank Beatles songsbut if i thought tht theni should hav never clicked on thsi video lol

  • i like all the songs tht were rated the lowest lol

  • Where is Across the Universe? I didn't see it.

  • @lechuguin44 "Across the Universe" is number 84 :)

  • 28, 22, 19, 9, and 8

  • couldnt find michelle and run for your life or are those cover songs

  • @Flamethrower503 "Michelle" and "Run For Your Life" not cover songs (The album Rubber Soul was full of original songs ;) I have no idea why they're not there!! "Michelle" DEFINITELY deserves to be there... IT WON A GRAMMY AWARD, FOR GOODNESS SAKES!!

  • @LeThereBeatles4ever COMPLETELY AGREE!

  • @LeThereBeatles4ever

There are so many good Beatles songs, it can be hard to choose even 100.

  • quedo conforme con el numero uno se lo merece a day in the life obra maestra! :O

  • Oh my! My brother gave me that Rolling Stone magazine 12 days ago! I loved it(: There are so many photos and information:D and I think A Day In The Life is the right decision for no. 1(: Anyway I love ALL their songs<3

    Thanks for sharing this;)

(P.S. try taking the magazine to school and show it to your teachers to watch them forget the class and talk about the Beatles all day like they did in my case!) xD

  • Am I blind or was twist and shout not on the list??

  • @sebmetallica I think that's because The Beatles only did a cover version. The original one is by The Isley Brothers. I prefer The Beatles' version (obviously!) but they made the list of only their original songs.

    Cheers(:

  • Where is "India india" "Be my guest", " Lucy in heaven "

  • @rareu4532 I'm gonna be honest and say that I haven't heard of the songs "Be My Guest" or "Lucy in Heaven" but I know about "India." It was just a demo and guess the other two songs are as well, and since they were demos, they were never completed or released.

  • @rareu4532 Yee there are and "Lucy in heaven is demo on "Lucy in the sky" Be my guest is early Ringo star song i think "John have play it on piano but cant find it now..

  • ROCKY RACOON SHOULD DEFINETELY BE IN THIS LIST!!

  • I've just seen a face & Dig A Pony should be highter!!

    #2, #3, & #4 should be lower

And i'm completely agree with #1

  • This are th "GREATEST" Songs... but what is the most famous Beatles' song? I Think:

    1. Hey Jude

    2. Let It Be

    3. All You Need Is Love

    4. Yesterday

    5. Twist and Shout

Plus: Lucy, Strawberry, Come together, Dont Let Me Dont... oh man, there's so many songs!!!

    What u think about?

  • Compiling a list like this is impossible, it's like choosing wether to have the soup or the salad. Impossible!

  • In my opinion all of these songs deserved the number one spot. How they picked one I will never know because every time I try to choose a favorite I end up thinking of at least 40

  • they definitely got number 1 right...i do have a few issues...dear prudence, hey bulldog, and across the universe are all WAYYYY to low....those are all top 20 at least...just my opinion

  • BWW has a team of editors working around the clock and will have this list completed by the end of the year. :D

  • Cmon where's The fool on the hill and Lovely Rita?!?!?!

  • Where is Rocky Raccoon????

  • @ShabazzTheGreat19 i think he was back in his room, only to find Gideon's Bible... but yeah, they TOTALLY missed that one...

  • @LeThereBeatles4ever yeah man thats one of my favorites and they missed it!

  • @BrannonGraveline631 shut up...

  • They miss I'm SO HAPPY JUST TO DANCE WITH YOU and BLUE JAY WAY!!!! Me mad!

  • A hard day's night and here comes the sun that low! C'mon!!!!!

  • O: I can't believe Long Long Long was just 98!

  • @CastfireTheAwesome well, it's better than not being there at all, isn't it? :)

  • Wild Honey Pie is hands down #1 guys. I hate to break it to you. (I actually did like it though, despite my sarcasm)

  • I'm kinda surprised they didn't add twist and shout... I mean they didn't write it sure, but their version is definitely the most famous and the song has become a memorable trademark of 60s rock - plus it's a really fun song... other than that, I agree with the list!

  • @thedropsoffire well, after all, it is called "The Beatles' 100 Greatest Songs" for a reason... but I kinda agree with you on that one, they did do some amazing covers, didn't they?

  • I didn't even see here comes te sun or octopus' garden

  • @theemmers15 "Here Comes the Sun" is number 28 on the list (even thought it should be in the top 10, definitely!!) but Octopus's Garden is not in this list...

  • @LeThereBeatles4ever Oh guess I didn't see it that's good but yah it should b higher and I think octopus's garden should be in this it's alot better then a lot of the songs 2day

  • I would not hav made a day in the life number 1

  • I mostly agree with the top 10, except for "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", that shouldn't be even in the top million. "A Day in the Life" is the perfect choice for #1, but list gets a little silly after #15, #16... Come on, "Please Please Me" ISN'T REMOTLY better than the Abbey Road's Medley! Also, how can someone place a little dated tune like "She Loves You" higher than "Eleanor Rigby"?

  • @Zitarrosa1984 I completely agree with you, early songs like "I Want to Hold Your Hand," "Please Please Me," and "She Loves You" are being a little overrated in this list, but I think they placed them the way they are because those songs are what started it all. Those 3 songs are the first hits that made them famous and become the revolutionary band they were :)

  • @LeThereBeatles4ever Ok, I understand how lil' dated tunes like "She Loves You" were important to them, but there're too many in the top 25! Well, if they change "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" for the Abbey Road's Medley, I guess this list would be close to perfection...

  • Most songs belong to John within the top ten i think 13 counting co-writers

  • I don't get rolling stone. First they put rain as the 23 song of the beatles in the 500 best of all time now 88. Hey jude was higher and a day in the life is higher in this magazine.

  • mmmm lovely rita?' savoy trufle

  • Guys I'm 9 and I have the really colectets edition rolling stone for top 100 beatles songs!get it quick because I think it goes out of stock on November 24!it is the 22 of November so go to your local book sore and buy it in the magizane section! Get it quick!

  • MMMMM.... I never liked the way rolling stone magazine ranks songs or albums, they're all great songs but some of their greatest tunes are missing on this compilation

  • I think there will be arguments, but there is one thing i accept from the ranking is the top 5. No matter what position they would be, i would agree on the top five maybe six through eighth, but i agree with it. Although i think rain and a bunch of other songs are sopposed to be way higher.

  • 1.A Day in the Life

    2.Hey Jude

    3.In My Life

    4.Help!

    5.Tomorrow Never Knows

    6.Norwegian Wood

    7.Come Together

    8.I Feel Fine

    9.Let it Be

    10.Strawberry Fields Forever

  • If I Fell...Getting Better... We can work it out??? So many good songs they didn't put! I guess they had too many songs to chose from. Beatles FOREVER!!!

  • @sebmetallica They did put "If I Fell" (26) and "We Can Work it Out" (30) but they did forget "Getting Better" and many, many other good songs like "The Fool on the Hill" "It's Only Love" and "This Boy." I bet it was really hard for the Rolling Stone editors to choose from a wonderful catalog of songs the Beatles did... but they totally forgot "Revolution 9"... haha, jk, jk ;)

  • GREAT VIDEO,AS FOR THE LIST THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GREATEST BEATLE SONG,THEY DID DO A DECENT JOB AT IT,BUT THERE TRULY IS NO ONE GREATEST BEATLE SONG EVER,THEY ALL ARE.

  • Beatle songs should'nt be ranked against each other, cause there all number 1!

  • Octupus's Garden!

  • I went crazy when I saw the magazine at the store, bought it in a flash and I think they did a decent job, I mean, they did put my all-times fave as #3 so that's good! and A Day in the Life, c'mon, the song's a masterpiece, it definitely deserves the #1 spot!

As for your video, great job! I love your picture selection for each song, very accordingly! Curious how you chose "Come and Get it" by Badfinger! lol, I do relate them to The Beatles, so it's cool ;P

  • @fifiesponja07 Oh wait, you did use The Beatles version of Come and Get it, lol, my bad. I still know the song because Badfinger anyway =P

  • @fifiesponja07 i personally think that they forgot a very important song "The Fool on the Hill" that is probably my favorite Beatle song AND IT WASN'T THERE!! :( and "Blackbird" should really be at least in the top 10 though...

Thanks for the compliments!! it was fun looking everywhere in the web for Beatle pictures :D i actually chose "Come and Get it" because i was obsessed with that song the week i made it, thanks for your comment!!

  • @LeThereBeatles4ever Yes, I absolutely agree about The Fool on the Hill! I love that song too (well, I love every Beatles song, but you know what I mean)

  • I OWN THIS MAGAZINE!

  • Comment removed

  • @EuroZorro they didn't!! (thank gosh...) maybe you missed it coz i made the vid too fast (my bad!!) anyways, its number 90 :)

  • Yes you are correct! The long and and winding road is my favorite beatles song! I think it deserves much higher than # 90. My 2nd best is Here there and everywhere and 3rd A day in the life.

  • @Garrek8298 umm... I'm pretty sure that mostly no one who is watching this video and knows what real music is even cares for that lady caga, thank you...

  • I'd hate to have to pick but, my fav (IF i had to pick) Let it Be.

  • they forgot 2 very important songs, the fool on the hill and octopus´s garden, they also missed do you want to know a secret?

  • @YonkouHitman YES!! THANK YOU!! i thought i was the only one who thought "The Fool on the Hill" HAD to be in that list!! is one of my favorite songs :) another one i think they missed is "I Want to Tell You" from Revolver...

  • @imperfectkey99 eww... i HATE lady caca :P *deletes comment*

  • @airplane968 thanks but no thanks, i already have it on MY iPod ;)

  • What song played from 4:20 ?!?

  • @bnrusnruo The song is called "Come and Get It" by the Beatles from the Anthology 3 :)

  • @LeThereBeatles4ever

    Thanks :D

  • I bought this magazine!

    its amaaazing! :D

  • i like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" and all but i don't think it should be 2... maybe a little lower?

  • @mykya22 i thought the same about strawberry fields

  • yea rolling stone is probobly gay

  • back in the u.s.s.r. 1st

  • thank you a lot! i was searching the full list and this video is all i found but i didn't see the list in the description lol, i made a tracklist on my iPod according this (:

    thank u!

  • I was on Rolling stone dot com, and it show it that this doesn't come out til November. Do you have to order it online only or wait.

  • @DrWobert Well, do you live in the US? This special edition magazine was released in stores on late August here in America. Maybe you misread, the magazine stops DISPLAYING in stores on November 24 (It says so in the cover of the magazine.) You can get it at Barnes and Noble's, at least that's where I got it :)

  • Thanks.
