  • he forgot to add anchor

  • I just bought this, I can't wait to see how much there is to cut out, better get some more ink and the thickest easily bendable card stock i can find, and whatever else I need, I bought the one that came in the book, it didn't work, to compacted, but this one looks like a monster, a truly worthy opponent for my skills, I'm so excited, I don't think I'll be able to sleep. = )

  • @markatoa did you finish it?

  • Прикольно стоко время поебал, а так человек умный.

  • Oh God not the pendulum... DON'T TOUCH THE PENDULUM!!- damn *watches the pendulum swing* ... -5 hours later- *still watching the pendulum swing* That's how I am

  • Brilliant! My understanding is that the water weight replaces the spring as the driver. Is this right?

  • I bought the kit for this I'm sure when I was a kid in the 70s but didn't have the patience to cut all those bits of paper out of the book and painstakingly glue it all together. Nice to see one in action though, so thanks for sharing.

  • the turning of the gear keeps the pendulum swining?

  • @beingbanana No. The swinging of the pendulum turns the gears.

  • you sell premade?

  • I just finished this project. lotsa fun took FOREVER. I made mine out of paper for everything but the Axel's. Glue2 suggests wood, but i couldnt find 4mm wooden Dowels, so i used Brass rod @ 5/32"

Also, length of Pendulum controls the time +/- not the amount of water in bottle. that is used to create the necessary tension on the escapement gear and restores lost energy with each pendulum swing.

Avsiii mentioned unable to find A4 180gm paper. I just used cardstock from local OfficeMax

  • Scary, but u got some genius mind, if it was really ur work

  • i got this book when I was a kid and said holly crap this looks hard. So i didn't make it.

  • set it on fire

  • glue2chronicle, I'm having a hard time looking for A4 180 g2/m paper here in America. Where do you get yours and where can I get it?

And, also are you going to design a clock face for this paper-clock?

  • Looks like it's made out of sintra insted of paper...

  • Plus or minus water equals timing.

  • Should of used a paper weight instead of bottle of water ;-) I know why the bottle is used + or water = timing.

  • hmm that's strong paper lol

  • oh it's beautiful i have never seen a paper clock.

  • It's so quiet compared to my Peace Tower model.

  • Barnes & Nobles sells a very similar version of this.

    Thanks!

  • Where can one buy the kit to make it?

  • You don't.

  • Hes right,

    You don't

  • Don't listen to the two people below, they don't know a thing. You can get it at this guy's website; it's in the description.

  • incredible

  • Thanks for your interest.

Even if there is no PayPal account, payment is possible with a credit card.
