  • lovely ...

  • Right, it's probably a VII.

  • Shepp = the most delicious blend of Trane and Bean that ever was... however, his music seems to be based on concepts that are beyond his instrument

  • Shepp gave me so much, so many great hours. We've seen this giant lots of times in the Bim house ín Amsterdam. The man is a musical magician

  • It's a tenor sax of course. A Selmer Mark VI played with an Otto Link mouthpiece to be precise. My real question is: who's the pianist on this? Killer track.

  • @trhummer1 no MKVI, the bell/body ring has the 3 feet configuration. That started on MK VII's and carries on till today.

  • @trhummer1 on "2nd inspection" this IS a VII. Check the closeups on the RH pinky and other details.

  • @trhummer1 Its the German pianist, Siegfried Kessler with his killer comping.

  • what kind of sax is this??

  • One of the better songs

  • SUPERB play

    Thank you

  • Beautiful

  • First time I heard him play, 'Four for Trane' I cried. Ben Webster is still there in what he does, like back to front

  • So nice ! ですね.
