@jessxandxherxarabian Ive actually ridden this type of horse and they are the most comfry horse i have ever ridden in my life! I have ridden sooo many different type of horses but this one is the best! A reason why im actually getting one!:)
With action this big a horse may need to "plait" or "dish" for balance, try it yourself, if you are in the air for so long you need to come down under your centre of gravity or you start weaving from side to side. And I suspect the high level of collection of the canter has to do with the very uphill motion of his canter. Just a few biomechanical observations.
@Jonnyangel23 What do you mean "plaits"? Is that an American term for a horse that dishes? Trust me, I've seen Welsh Ds with far worse dishing than that!
