  • Louis wouldve knocked Ali silly. Frazier did once already and Louis hits harder than Frazier

  • how many title defenses did joe have?

  • he was good

  • I LOVE joe Louis. He was one of the VERY top heavyweights of all time! But, it amazes me that some people believe he could've beaten Ali. His style was wrong for Ali, proved (in my opinion) by the fact that he was so soundly beaten by Billy Conn (until Conn foolishly went for the knockout). Conn was a master boxer, like Ali, but not in his calibre. So how could Louis beat Ali?! Louis was a MASTER of the compact stance & the counter punch, with lightening hands, but his feet were surely too slow?

  • Sexy sexy look at that arse...excuse me for thinking out loud

  • how old was joe louis when he learned how to box? and dnt say 137 lol

  • @1cwa He started when he was around the age of 16 his day debut light heavy fight was in 1932 when he was 17

  • apart from Mayweather, the best accurate puncher

  • @fliprack Fuck mayweather he cant compare to joe louis mayweathers a bitch i wanna see him rematch ortiz and fight pac man and andre burto.

  • ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY BROWN BOMBER!

  • tres bon film merci from Paris

  • joe did good in the marciano fight at least he knocked him down ones

  • i think this actor looks very much like joe louis

  • My black history project is on him.(:

  • a young joe louis would absolutely annihilated rocky marciano ...its undisputible ....there is is no argument

  • @omd0

agreed. In his prime Joe would have made Rocky another bum of the month club member. Fact is fact

  • @codysakic

Joe louis admitted rocky would give him a tough fight in his prime you moron. Marciano was no bum, marciano would have ripped max schmelings head clean off with 1 right hand.

  • down to bitness hard hittin joe louis. mmmm anybody in their right mind would do well to avoid any blow at all thrown by grown man joe louis......... mmm.... mud bone

  • @YyJoBb yup lol

  • Joe Louis is a hero and one of the top three greatest fighters of all-time.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • ali lost to a prime frazier, and the 3rd fight ali gave up but fraziers corner threw a towel in even tho joe didnt want that.....foreman would have beat em in a rematch

  • @wade2bosh Not quite. Besides, when Ali lost to frazier, he hadn't fought for 3 years. And Ali wan't in his prime when he beat foreman.

  • @carmodifire He certainly wasn't in his prime but he had actually fought two big names in the division within the six months leading up to the first Frazier bout. Quarry and Bonavena.

  • Ali and Louis greatest ever.

  • the best there is the best there was n the best there'll ever be

  • loool i wouldn't have let joe louis hit my hands as hard as he could, probably break them off

  • LOL I got this movie at Wal*Mart- a two fer one (the other film being the Lou Gehrig Story).

  • The training sequences here are very well done. And the actors playing Louis and Chappie Blackburn are remarkable lookalikes. Pretty good attempt for the times.

  • Hmmm reading a biography on Joe Louis, this account on his attitude towards fighting and how he went into fighting is entirely untrue.

  • @Vash1202 why you say that what was his thoughts on fighting

  • JOE LOUIS WAS 11 FEET TALL,THE MAN

  • lol didnt know youtube put up vids this long, good upload tho

  • Coley Wallace beat Marciano in amatuers.

  • Oscar worthy acting in this one.

  • legend

  • Joe Louis was the Greatest heavyweight of all time.

  • thanks 4 this video

  • Jack Blackburn was one hell of a fighter himself.

  • what's the music at 18:09..i wanna make a highlight of mike tyson with that

    lol

  • if you think im gonna watch this 1:27 documentary.., no im gonna put it in my fav and then watch it later ...fuck you now

  • atleast its a whole life and era in an hour

  • This is off topic but Rocky Marciano and Joe Louis were the two best heavy weight champions, if not boxers in history.

  • @beardigady It's highly possible that you know way more about boxing than I do but I have to say that, as much as I admire Marciano and Louis, it becomes a bit contentious when someone claims anyone is "the best." Jack Johnson is right up there in that illustrious pantheon, and Ali, of course. Jack Dempsey and Sam Langford also deserve to be considered for the honour of being named "best" heavyweights ever.

That said, Joe Louis is probably my favourite.

  • Joe Louis was 137 yrs old

  • @RanHam335 LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLZ EDDIE MURPHY!!

  • @RanHam335 - Thats such a cool quote from an amazing movie at the time. Long live the crown prince of Zamunda!! - lol :)

  • @RanHam335 what's that mean? tks

  • @RanHam335 damn

    14 yr old b

  • @RanHam335 boxer**

  • 24.45 - the Bruce Buffer of the olden days lol!

  • how to you make for set 1h27?

  • @marlondavis1000 You have to be a partner.

  • He looks like Joe Louis.

  • what is that at 32:37?

  • Hey guys, Looking for latest movies? bit(dot)ly/aPJpXN , check them out, and drama series too

  • I know on the description it says that joe battled rascism outside the ring but contraraly speaking he was the only black fighter well accepted at the time...white america loved joe luis and they especially loved him after he beat max shmelline after knocking him out in the rematch. joe was also honored for going to the millitary when america called on him and he was further well respected for honoring the draft and serving his time.

  • the actor portraying joe luis actually looks more like a young cassius clay. i have this film..its a good documovie

  • yeah, also sort of looks like Larry Holmes too.

  • @romienomie I guess i can sorta see that

  • he is a hero, hes the strongest boxer I have ever seen, not just his physics, its from deep inside, his mental toughness.

In the dressing room after the fight between Marciano and Joe Louis, Louis's Army touring companion, Sugar Ray Robinson, wept. Marciano also attempted to console Louis, saying, "I'm sorry, Joe." "What's the use of crying?" Louis said. "The better man won. I guess everything happens for the best."

  • I couldn't fucking find it, but I know I read it somewhere. Ahem

"the finest human beings I met in America, are prize fighters."

  • JOE LOUIS.....YOU MUST KNOW HIS NAME

  • I love the film. like watching the training sequences : ) Louis was awesome

  • louis couldnt cut cake for shit

  • Joe is sooo cute lol GREAT MOVIE

  • btw, the actor who played the role of Rocky Marciano was only a 'guest star' in one or two episodes of the TV flick 'Friends' with Jennifer Aniston etc....

(Just wanted to point that out)

  • its almost like fight scenes in the movies are the fights that realy happened and edited into the movie coz louis's opponents portrayers look to similar to be actors

  • lol. You're joking right? That's exactly what they did.

  • fucking pretty shit acting

  • even the max baer and max schmeling portrayers look identical

  • He sure looks like Louis. Even looks like he could whip some ass for real.

  • coley wallace looks exactly like joe louis!

  • Comment removed

  • that is messed up how those who surrounded him took his money. all smiling in his face. then the gov't charged him 90% interest that is ridiculos

  • As Muhammad Ali said, Joe Louis beat me, slow Joe Louis.

I'll dance, and Jab, Joe will trying to hit me with the left, how can he hit me, I'll be dancing!

  • day: Louis in his prime would have destroyed Ali within 6 rounds. Look what Louis did to Lewis who was faster than Ali. Also, Lou Nova who had faster moves than Ali. They all were destroyed by the bomber.

  • yea !!!!!!!!

  • Coley Wallace looks more like Muhammad Ali than he does Joe Louis, but that was before there was a Muhammad Ali.lol.

  • Coley Wallace is the only one to beat Rocky Marciano. Coley Wallace also played Joe Louis in the Rocky Marciano movie. He also fittingly played Louis once more in the great film "Raging Bull."

  • i'm taking that he beat marciano in the amateurs because he was obviously undefeated as a pro

  • Coley Wallace played Joe Louis in the 'Rocky Marciano' movie. Really? Care to explain? I'ma bit baffled here. Maybe there are two versions of the Rocky Marciano movie-no? Who was the actor who played Rocky Marciano? I think i've seen him in that T.V comdy sitcom 'Friends' with Jennifer Aniston. He's very stocky looking.

  • The reason why i'm asking is because the actor who played Joe Louis in the Rocky Marciano movie didn't really resemble Coley Wallace. Oh and the actor who played the boxing commissioner also plays a lead role in that TV flick M.A.S.H. He also played the 'head university coordinator' in that movie 'A beautiful Mind' starring Russel Crowe. Can't remember his name.

  • You are right, there are 2 movies about Rocky Marciano one from 1979, the other 1999. The one that Coley Wallace appears in is the 1979 version. The one that Tony Lo Bianco stars. Actually, to make matters more confusing, LoBianco also appears in the 1999 film "Rocky Marciano".

  • Would you by any chance know the name of the actor who played 'Rocky Marciano' in the most recent 1999 film?

  • IMBD lists Jon Favreau. Also in the movie is Judd Hirsch, Penelope Ann Miller, and George C. Scott. I never saw this movie so now that you asked about it ...... I saw the first one though. A friend of the family once met Rocky Marciano in an elevator in NYC back in the 60s. He said that he was much smaller than he expected.

  • Does Lobianco play the role of commissioner int he 1999 film version?

  • what are the names of the fims about rocky marciano? i know of the one made in 99 but whats the other one from 79 you spoke of? you may be mixed up with a film about rocky graziano but i hope your not mixed up because id love to see another documovie about rocky marciano!

  • @dirtyjew1974 As far as I know, there has never been a feature movie made about Rocky Marciano, only t.v movies. One was called "Rocky Marciano"(1999), the other was "Marciano"(1979).I think the Graziano movie you refer to, is "Someone Up there Likes Me."

  • yeah, i know the one from 99 with john favorou but i never knew about the one from 79. glad you told me about it, is it like a mini series or something?

  • My assumption is that there are two versions of the Rocky Marciano movie. I think i saw the most recent updated version, with that actor who stars in M.A.S.H . (He basically played the role of the boxing commissioner)

  • I only know of one marciano film but theres another film you may be thinking of about the middleweight rocky graziano(somebody up there must like me)

  • @lemonite1

    Well not in professional boxing.

Although he only won by a split decision.

    So that's a difference.

  • joe louis in real life was real sly

  • yea joe louis !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • boxeador de peso pesado-campeón mundial
