Hey Phorty. You should do a live stream like Ryan Enzed, where we post questions on your Facebook and you answer them in real-time. It was really successful when Ryan did it.
thatd be a good way for the beginners to really grasp how ableton/massive/etc works and to get an idea of how to manage songwriting and music production.
i know when i first started, making a song seemed overwhelming, this may be a nice way to make it seem more managable.
even for experienced producers, its always good to see how other artists manage their DAWs and create and shape certain sounds.
Would be very nice of you took a dubstep tune from scratch. Then made the videos build up the tune, like: Video 1: Drums Video 2: Bass Video 3: Wobble 1 Video 4: Wobble 2 Video 5: Pads and Lead . . . Etc. And then take it all the way to some rough arranging and mastering.
Do it man, I'm one of these learners that learns by watching and seeing how other people do it. It was the same with programming, when I first started learning c# I would download projects and see how they done it, but in HQ video it would be absolutely perfect.
starting from scratch would be useful for beginners (like me!), good luck doing work at uni, don't smoke weed. okay, don't smoke weed all day. okay, smoke weed.
I am in FL 10. still, 80% of your tutorials carry over. your 8 part compressor is our fruity parametric EQ2. massive tutorials are universal and easy to understand. i walk away with an understanding of WHAT I did and how to apply it . show us the compression and settings explained like in the Skyline remix you did. did you automate one massive, or clone it at different rates. bit-crushing or envelopes. maybe put the song out for a few days, then the video breakdown gets uploaded a little later.
Alright! I was just about to ask you to make tutorials on the construction of a song/drop rather than the patches. I'm having a hard times sometimes to get every massive patch to fit with one an other. Whould thouse videos cover that? If yes then GO!!!
