I'm not sure about either Domingo or Netrebko in this performance to be honest. Both are capable of better. Placido's age shows in the weak timbre, which has lost most of his youthful sonority. Perhaps Anna also is a little stilted and hesitant.. I think Violetta should be played as more relaxed? Still a lovely production nevertheless.
