from my experiences, I have found that all babies need water. I don't think they need floride in it, but they do need water. years ago doctors would suggest that breast-fed babies not be given water because mothers milk is very watery in nature, which makes up for the water input of the baby's diet. but if you want to see a constipated, crying all night baby, don't give a bottle-fed baby water. they seems to need more water, and if they don't get it they become dangerously constipated.
This woman is the daughter of SATAN! How could she recommend feeding this POISON to our children! Oh wait that's right, she was probably fed FLUORIDE as a child and now her IQ is as sharp as a doorknob, that explains it!! BITCH!
this is bullshit. floride is bad for us, never mind babies. it will over time screw with your brain and eventually lower your I.Q. it will do all sorts of bad things to you, your brain and bones. read the warning on your toothpaste tube, its there because of the floride content. not to mention the dentist will tell you not to swalow floride, but to spit it out. cave men didnt mess with floride and our species survived fine. there is no reason for babies to consume floride, its totally bad
@realthink777 i remember hearing that fluoride was bad somewhere and for a short amount of time i had to stop using toothpaste with fluoride. y would i have to give my baby something that is sooooo man made like u said, that we have to spit out at the dentist. I need an explanation y that would make sense.
My university biology teacher was a dentist around the time that fluoride was first introduced to the water in this area. Before, he would see many children come in with caries, a tooth decay. Afterward, he noticed that the number of kids with caries significantly dropped. According to the article "Dental Fluorosis" from Wikipedia, it's not very likely to get enough fluoride from water to have problems. You would have to consume other things with fluoride.
@Dosunty It's most likely no longer necessary to put it in water. If you are worried, use water filters and make sure that your kids are brushing AND spitting out the toothpaste. Also, be careful not to consume things with fluoride, such as brick tea.
@Dosunty I hate the dentist always drank bottled water and that was seldom a history of bad teeth in family never went to the dentist til about a year and a half ago and look and see who doesn't have cavitites! ME!!! But people i know who keep goin to dentist always have to go get a root canal or some other stuff. its a rip off. I think if people would brush their teeth once in the morning and night and a mouth rinse and sugar free gum in between fluoride would not b needed but im not a doctor
The ADA says flouride in toothpaste makes sense--it can help your teeth.
Flouride in your digestive tract?!! Now that's a whole nother issue.. Think about it--flourine is in the same column on the Periodic Table as chlorine, meaning it shares some properties. Do you want your baby to drink fresh swimming pool water?
@wiferisa From Wikipedia's article on fluoride: "Fluoride is the anion F−, the reduced form of fluorine." So, it's not on the periodic table. Also, "Originally, sodium fluoride was used to fluoridate water; however, hexafluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6) and its salt sodium hexafluorosilicate (Na2SiF6) are more commonly used additives, especially in the United States."
In my town they stopped putting ti in the water. As far as I know of you don't need it. It may or may not be safe but you definitely can live without it. If you want fluoride in you body fine, but to give a baby fluoride supplements is messed up.
@swiftlouie143 Not really. Don'e be naive and believe every little conspiracy you hear. America has some of the best dental and periodontal health in the world. It has been proven in multiple case studies that children who grow up only drinking bottled water, (sans F−) have more dental problems than those who drink the standard, clean, treated tap water.
@beansly87 there is no conpiracy, floride is bad. do your homework, dont be naive n beleive 1-2 sources. do your home work and prove it to be otherwise.
@realthink777 It's not 1-2 sources it's called a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and a continuing Masters degree in Community Health. I have done my homework, thank you.
