You only need a 2MP camera to do 1080p. A 3.2MP camera should comfortably go to 1080p. I think its a software thing, not a hardware thing.

@legalizeitbiches thats wrong, it needs 6 mp to get 1080p 3 mp is 720p

cuz each 'pixel' has one RGB so 1080p is 1080 by 1920 which = roughly 2 million (2mp)

but u need to multiply it by 3 which become 6 mega pixels

720 by 1280 is roughly 1 million so 1*3=3 mp

@KingXKok That makes no sense.. pictures and video are two different things. Look at the iPads or the iPod touches camera for example, it can shoot in 720p, and they're only .7 of a megapixel. 6MP? ...plenty of 5MP phones can record in full 1080p.

ewww that sux and 720p? Where r we 2011? Evrything should be able to record 1080p and so should Youtube on all channels, HD cams aren't expensive anymore so there is no excuse for inferior quality, this doesn't look HD sorry, it's too muddy and not top quality
