  • i can brake all the styrofoam with just one hand

  • Funny noises!

  • What a waste of styrofoam! WE can recycle styrofoam here.

  • Now I could use all that styrofoam lol.. I figured out how to recycle it and I can recycle it myself! dissolve it and mold/shape it.. turns into a hard plastic when it dries out!

  • nice u even trash the tru ck mor wit bulsht in beging

  • Here you go Eric.. here's what you need in your hopper!! /watch?v=73LjSLUZGZc LOL! ..only thing how would it pack in the body?

  • Too bad that them side loader packer blades don't go in about another foot. I've only used one of them manual side loaders once,....They're good on saving you alot of walking, But a real pain when it comes to packing! Our company purchased a couple of them second hand a few years back. But did away with the units setup & converted them to rear loaders. Nobody liked them for the very reason of not packing as well. Took too much time! PS; As usual, Another nice video there!

  • I wish we had some side loaders here in my town it would be cool.We did back in the 80s have a strange garbage truck it was a rear loader but only by hand you could not empty a dumpster. The way it worked was similar to a packmor but the main blade that packs only goes in and out the bottom of the hopper raises up when the the packer blade is fully out then when closed the packer does its thing then the bottom lowers and is empty.Hope you could understand how it works .Was neat but very different

  • It folds furniture for easy storage but styrofoam, well thats another story.

  • Heh it just pounds away until the foam eventually gives up.

  • awesome video keep up the

    good work

  • Thank you!

  • That sure is a pain styrofoam won't do nothing you want.I do recycle it when it comes in a package i recieve..I just throw it in my burning wood stove it shrinks out of site instantly.

  • Do you know what styrofoam makes when you burn it?

DIOXINS and lots of other great stuff. Don't breath that smoke!

  • Yeah i know it makes bad gas for your lungs.I only burn a small amount.Like those little pieces that are packed in a box.Its really cool when you dump them in a hot stove they really do shrink up fast then burn.I don't burn much in the stove cause a tiny amount of the fumes will get out before you close the stove. Thanks

  • wow thats crazy looks like a pain in the ass to pack to nice job

  • That's how my toothless aunt used to eat potato chips while in the middle of dinner.. brings back memories.. (eek)

  • Lol

  • One load you say. There's something rare for a residential run

  • Yes its rare, usually only happens in the middle of winter when there isnt as much garbage/yard waste.Plus this was on a monday, which is my easist and smallest day.

I started at 6:00 am and had my 440 stops done by 10:15 am.I then went to assist another route and put on an additional 100 stops, and came across this styrofoam. The truck was pretty well packed but still managed to prevail.

  • damn thats pretty damn fast. Cant imagine how many you pick up in an hour.

  • If you had had some bags of trash to throw in there it would have made quick work of that styrofoam i think.

  • Yeah usually its good to have some bags or something like a chair or other bulky item to throw on top, then smash it down with the pre crush panel, but after I put the foam in all the stops after it didnt have any extra trash.

  • haha.. "where's the extra trash when you need it?" lol

  • Yeah, that crappy styrofoam sure does suck. I might have held it until the route was all packed but it did make for a cool video, just looks miserable for you. Another very cool video!

  • It was alright,I was done with my route and almost done helping another route so it was actually a convenient time to get this on tape.

It really sucks when you come across this stuff when you are close to full and trying to get the last bit of the route on.

  • Ah yes, the only thing worse then yard waste or wood to pack, Styrofoam. Sorry to see that someone threw out that much of it, it makes me really wonder if people have even heard of recycling or at least buying only what you need.

  • That green gunk looks like a Green Tea Frapp at Starbucks. *the more you know* :]

  • The tea it made when it mixed with the water on the floor of the hopper probably wasnt quite as good as Starbucks, but I didnt try it.

  • :) Haha.

  • How many stops did you have on this route? You didnt run out of fuel again did you? lol. Next time I see you broke down I will be sure to stop and help you out. lol

  • Out of fuel?

    That is funny...LOL!

  • Yeah lol. He was just sittin on the exit ramp to the Interstate highway and I passed him thinkin what happened.

  • Well, it seems to happen to the best of us...

Eric is a trouper, sure he dealt with it just fine...

  • LOL wow styrofoam sure is stubborn! I liked the squeaking noise, and how it broke into little tiny bits! What was that thing that you threw in at the very end? ..sounded like something heavy and looked weird. Thanks for uploading this!

  • That thing at the end was a section of the trunk of a small tree with the branches removed, and you're welcome :)

  • The regular garbage just keeps getting packed under the foam. Makes for a cool video though!

  • that foam sure looks messy at the end. nice job again

  • foam has too be the worst crap ever too pack and messy
