@KiraitoMelodia Appreciate your comment, but to put you straight, there's absolute MINIMAL autotune used on the recording, so it sounding unnatural is just your ears to be honest, the autotune was only used to reign in the vibrato in places.

And I've noticed that everyone singing Icarus Lives as a cover use an autotune... That's unnatural, i mean that, because it sounds like a robot voice...

@KiraitoMelodia no, you've got me wrong, I'm not taking it bad (internet is notoriously bad for misinterpretation) I'm just saying where autotune was used, it wasn't used for pitch correction, so i did sing this naturally, and the original by Casey Sabol had no autotune for the main vocal line either. It's a point brought up many times on this cover, so it's tiresome to hear admittedly, but yeh it is a tough song to sing for sure, which is why I re-took the cleans many times to get it right.

@utmobbad Thanks for comment, but I recorded the screams all in one take and pronounced the words how they were pronounced in the original, it's pretty much a straight cover, in hindsight I would have re-done a couple parts etc, but I was concentrating on the singing not the screaming, Screaming is boring for me these days so i don't put as much effort in, it obviously shows

99.9% of modern recordings use autotune mate, the original used it too...and there's hardly autotune in there, it's only there to clean up some vibrato in minor places. As for the writing vocals for the other track...nah, I only did this cover for audition purposes.

If that's what you honestly believe, you're very misinformed...and slightly naive.

It's used everywhere...Autotune isn't always necessarily used to make a bad singer sound good, it mainly just helps rein in some of the vibrato, and helps the track sound more cohesive...and the autotune you're talking about in rap/hip hop music is used as an effect rather than for pitch correction purposes, there is no such thing as perfect pitch in a humans voice.
